Apple Releases macOS Golden Gate Beta 6

This release fixes that Private Relay vulnerability that was leaking real IPs, at least according to leaks.psylo.app. I would assume this fix is also present in all the other updates today, but only my Mac is in front of me and my phone is still on iOS 18
dissenting opinion (not that anybody should care):
cheap unispiring crap that looks like it came straight from a picture book for preschoolers.
p.s. plus it's unclear what on earth they even tried to convey. what are those emboldened border areas and gradients for? are they supposed to demonstrate that there's someone at Apple who's able to do something bizarre? yeah well we already knew that.
Exited? As in time to call the suicide hot line?
Or just throwing your hands up in disgust and moving to Linux?

Unfortunately, on the desktop, Linux is still not there. KDE is pretty nice though.

"would have"? I'm using Macs since 1994. Aqua was amusing in the beginning (plus i was then more of an Apple fanboy than now). But it didn't take long until it became clear that it's a faulty UI concept (especially when I got into development myself). It's unfortunate that Apple is now trying to exhumate some parts of Aqua's carcas.

Too bad you feel that way I guess. There hasn’t been an OS UI I enjoyed working more with than Aqua throughout the years.
I waited for the 2nd Mac, the Fat Mac, 512k, 2 400k 3.5" floppy drives. Uni discount w/ Imagewriter printer, 300 baud modem (later to 1200? and 2400). MacPascal was similar to the Prime Pascal for class; just had to use char arrays, as mini didn't yet use strings.
Then, IIsi, Quadra, then 520. It was b&w but did color to extended monitor.
Some in between but now mbp 14" m3 Pro. Got Wife a Neo and she's happy, happy.

They definitely fixed some important bugs (finally). Especially on my M5 Max, thermals were crazy. Even surfing through the web was making the machine warm and turning on the fans at around 1500-2000 rpm. So far, testing on the web for basic stuff like watching streams and videos doesn't even turn the fan on, and the machine stays cool. I'll test how the other real heavy stuff works, but so far, so good.

I loved the early days of OS X. Waited in line at the Apple Store for the OS X Beta disc even. It was such a sludge on my first Mac was the DV iMac, but so pretty. Nothing hardly worked and was so RAM intensive. Happy to see the little subtle jelly traffic lights back.
