I updated to 15... that's the hint there was another number, it seems Apple dont have there GUI sorted to show hidden numbers after the dots. 18.0 was just that without the hidden hint, although it did tell you underneath the update. Seems to have helped with a few issues, running well on my M2 Pro mac Mini Pro that I wont be updating to a toy puck after only a year of owning this one, which does all I need it to at this point. I'll be on the M27 SoC route I think, as I gave this one plenty of ram and a nice fast 1TB SSD. Also I wont loose USB C ports for my APC UPS with an adaptor as my 1000 watt smart UPS only has USB 1.1 ports.

When I first looked about an hour or so ago, I had a red dot indicator meaning there is an update. But no update actually available.

And just had an alert:

But update still not available.

After extensive testing, I can say that at least my DNS/Firewall problems appear to be fixed.

However, the GUI settings page for configuring the firewall is still broken, I had to again configure everything via the CLI /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw.

My VPN problems, however, are not fixed -- it is still possible that the VPN server of my university just "doesn't know" yet, how to communicate with a Sequoia installation.

Another problem with "jumping terminal icons" in the Dock is also not yet fixed ...

However, my system is finally usable again. I take this as a small win.

I "only" have a 2018 Mini (that still cost 2500 when bought...nowhere is the destruction of value as visible as with those...). I really doubt I need this.
I'm still on Sonoma and will update once Sequoia is at maybe 15.2 or 15.3.

The iPhone (XR) is also still on iOS 17. Though I doubt they'll issue updates for that much longer.

Sequoia 15.0.1 just decided I needed a new mac address right after updating, despite having it configured as "fixed" for this network

Not helpful when I'm using DHCP assignment based on Mac address

Shortcuts that work fine on my iPhone and iPad still won't fire on my Mac.

Why does everyone ask if their particular issue is fixed when that issue is not mentioned in the release notes and is not blathered about in general? Magic?

Who in their right minds releases major, albeit routine, product updates on a Friday???? That's just tempting the Fates for incidents/drama.....
It was released Thursday in California.

That annoying. After update my Mac and now I cannot see my desktop external hard drive anymore. I can't see it in finder or disk utility like it doesn't exists. Power cable plugged in and drive got light on and all cable defo plugged in correctly. It was there before I updated Mac.

Plus our team had a MS Teams audio drop out bug that appeared with 15.0 and disappeared with 15.0.1. Not saying it’s related… I hope it also fixes the “have to restart and enable/disable wifi 3 times to connect” bug.

The firewall config pane is still broken. It does not remember changes for incoming connections, apps cannot be removed, and apps that have been uninstalled are present in the top section (Apple apps). Broken A F.
