Surely almost any country can be called that right now?Not available in the United Kingdom of Unaffordable Housing and Street Robberies (UKUHSR).
Which is a shame because the biggest use case for AI is a phone that detects when it has been stolen and self-explodes.
A new look and feel includes a glowing light that wraps around the edge of your screen, animates responsively to the sound of your voice, and lets you keep scrolling or typing while you talk to Siri
After the update, some websites are rejected by some company servers because of a proxy or firewall issue even though those sites are white-listed. It's super annoying. What is the "firewall" issue?
Breaks some 3rd party firewall operation extensions (outgoing traffic I believe) and VPN apps at times. They have always been at the mercy of MacOS firewall changes that Apple implements as time goes on with security patches or new beta cycles. What is the "firewall" issue?
Two things straight off the bat that are screwed up when 15.0 was perfectly fine.
- Windows App (formerly MS RDP): I use this to connect to my work laptop everyday, it worked perfectly every time. Now I get this every, single, time. I have to reboot the mac twice or thrice to get it working. There's no rhyme or logic in this if rebooting allows me to actually connect, when the target machine remains turned on the entire time.

- iPhone notifications on Mac are not working. It was also, working perfectly fine. Now they're not and only a couple of apps, not sure why only these ones, are shown in the apps list on macOS. the iPhone is also updated to 18.1. This is really bad because I use 2FA all the time and having it popup on my mac is essential for my workflow....Anyone else?

Your FaceTime and iMessages might not work afterwards. I clean-installed 15.0, FT or M wouldn't work even after 15.1 update and 15.1 clean install, so I had to go back, clean install 14.7.1, connect everything and then upgrade to 15.1.Great news! I will intall it next week with a clean format.
I had an issue earlier this week with my 2018 MBP (Intel). Monday and Tuesday it kept giving me an error message. I read in some random forum that turning off "find my" helped but it didnt for me. I left it off then tried a few times on Wednesday night and finally installed.I am using the 2019 MacBook Pro (Intel) and I cannot install Sequoia 15.1. Anyone else having the same issues?
Useful perspectiveAnyone want to chime in on the whole Unsigned apps not working after the 15.1 update?...I'm interested to know, if thats true I won't be updating my Intel Mac Mini and just use signed apps on the new M4 Mac Mini I have coming in on Friday....
This isn't exactly a surprising move by Apple. Over the last few years, all of the Big Tech operating system companies (Microsoft, Apple, and Google) have pushed -- with increasing intensity -- to lock down what software users are allowed to run on their computers.
While the news, today, is focused on Apple (their fight against the most basic freedoms of computing -- the ability to run software)... both Microsoft and Google have made it clear that they are all in on the war against sideloading.
Case in point: Google is migrating Android software away from "APK" application packages... to the far more restrictive "AAB" application bundles. Microsoft, likewise, is pushing for a reliance on their online store.
IMHO because there is no restrictions against installing from web sites this is very much preventing Trojans that seem to be the most common malware observed with Mac usage. So users of Android, ChromeOS, & Windows shouldn't laugh. You're next.
Yea I saw his videos...I guess we'll have to see how far Apple takes this because if they implement permanent restrictions with no workarounds thats going to piss off a lot of power users.Useful perspective

iPadOS closed ecosystem is what prevented me from completely switching away from a MacBook Air to an iPad Pro.Yea I saw his videos...I guess we'll have to see how far Apple takes this because if they implement permanent restrictions with no workarounds thats going to piss off a lot of power users.
You'd think that with their desktop OS they'd give it's users the ability to choose what/if/and/when/how they want to use their Macs, but since we live in a coddled world and they know that their base are a bunch of iPlebs it's no surprise that the "nannying" from iOS/iPadOS is spilling over onto MacOS.....It's pedantic and sad.iPadOS closed ecosystem is what prevented me from completely switching away from a MacBook Air to an iPad Pro.
I didn't expect Apple's solution would be to turn macOS into iPadOS/iOS instead....
