Installed on my 2015 iMac - I now have no USB audio. Nothing, there's no option for external speakers, so my brand new USB sound card is currently useless and it's very quiet here.

Thank you Professor.

Very sloppy of Apple to release iOS 10.2 a day before macOS 10.12.2 and iTunes 12.5.4. Videos cannot sync without iTunes 12.5.4.

Can anyone report back if this release fixes the scrolling issue with Logitech gaming mice that has been present since the first release of Sierra?

I had to revert back to El Capitan because it was impossible to do slow, precise scrolling in Sierra. If you didn't scroll relatively quickly, it wouldn't scroll at all. And no, installing the latest Logitech Gaming Software for macOS did not fix the problem. It only created more problems on top of the scrolling issue.

One of the hardest things for tech companies to do is get people to update their software. It generally benefits everybody - quality of user experience typically increases and then in turn people speak more highly of the products. Updates can still be inconvenient. "But it works fine why update it?"

Apple has answered this question by putting the pill in the marshmallow - give them more emojis.

For clarity - I think this is actually really smart. I am watching my normally slow poke friends doing the updates quickly because it has an emoji update. Its really cool.

This so this. I always try to get everyone to update to get the security fixes. They always go but nothing cool is in it for me I will do it latter. They never do. So this gets them to seek it out.

Hey MacRumors, you forgot one last feature: Fixes battery life issues on new MacBook Pros by removing the time remaining estimation. Well, it doesn't fix it, but hey at least you won't notice it so easily.

I was eager to update, even perform an install from scratch of 10.12.2, but as a user who checks time remaining pretty often when on battery, I don't know what to do, as they removed it. Now there is no way to tell more or less how much time you have left until your battery dies. This features has saved me a lot of times.

BTW the update will take out "Time Remaining" section in the battery bar.

Even if the feature removal only affects new MBPs, this is not a good move for Apple, IMO. I check my battery time remaining for various reasons on my MBA and I would be very dissatisfied that this is Apple's response to short (or incorrectly reported) battery life on new MBPs. One more thing on my list to check before I buy another Mac.

I installed beta6 of this a few days ago. No noticeable improvement in battery life. I did of course notice there's no time remaining estimate. Unless a fix comes soon(by Jan8), I will return my 13" TB for a 13" non-touchbar model.

"Adds support for new installations of Windows 8 and Windows 7 using Boot Camp on supported Macs"

So, before you were locked into W10 for a new installation, now they've opened it up to W8 and W7 again. That's... weird.
