also I hope this update fixes the issue where the Mac freezes and reboots while having a YouTube video in Picture in Picture mode and browsing the web.
It freezes, then It reboots.
The only 2 issues I have are these, ExFAT issues, and this one

Im on Sonoma Beta, I have Beta updates turned OFF, but I don't see this new update available.

Not yet in updates. Please write direct link to combo download?

I hope, they fixed Safari performance. Switched to Brave due this…

It seems 14.1.2 broke 1password.

Now when I try to launch it, I get an error message "The Application '1Password' Is No Longer Open"

Anyone else also experiencing battery drain when their M1 is asleep? Had the issue on the Ventura and still happening on Sonoma.

Sonoma has been rock solid for me on both my M1 Pro 14" and my M1 Air.
For me too!
I think the most Problems are related to bad programmed Tools and Apps installed and misused Terminal commands from users who simply do not understand what they are doing.

I have an MBA M2 and an Intel I5 Hackintosh with no Problems @All.
It is allways the same, every new MacOS will be bashed.

But it is never the Users fault.
Also to blame Apple for Adobe Programs eating RAM is a common case.

Today some can use a PC and get loads of RAM for a fraction of the Price Apple charges, but hey Microsoft is bad too.
You can simply use Linux or just stop using a Computer 😂

Looks like this and ios updates are to address zero day bugs in webkit.

Got it. Thanks for that. It hasn't happened to me, but my cousin was talking about one of her drives didn't work on her Mac. I haven't peeked into it, but now I know to check and see if it might be an exFAT drive.
I seem to recall several years ago having general issues with exFAT. It ended up mattering whether I used the Mac or Win to format the device.

The thumb drive I'm having issues with, I just recent wiped / formatted it in Win 10.

But it still makes no sense why Disk Util can't even see it.

Sonoma for me has been a total nightmare. I own a MBP with M1P and 16gb of ram.

I know that’s not a lot but the amount of problems I had with the new OS from constant software crashes (that didn’t crash before Sonoma), reduced overall speed in everything. Issue using 3rd party cameras like my canon 80D for example as a webcam to livestream that required changes in the system recovery terminal to solve.
50% fps drop playing the same games I did before the update and much more.

It made my work impossible for 2 months! Since the update I spent more time solving problems on my Mac than actually working, so much that I had to take a credit to buy a new PC (investment I was organized to make 1 year from now) and swear I will never buy another Mac again!

I’m aware the experience was not the same to everyone and I hope it never happens to any of you who’s reading this now, because losing almost 2 months of work because of an update is very serious!

I read someone saying it’s ok with 96 gb of ram… is this a joke? Are you saying that investing more than 5 grand on a Mac is the only way to to have a smooth experience with it? If that’s the case than I’m glad I took the decision of never again getting another one of these!

There's a new bug across all of Apple's OS where I have to do things twice. Examples, if I need to change a file name on my Mac (laptop or desktop) it won't take the first time, but does the second time. When I select the media + sign in messages it doesn't work until I do it a second time. Happens when trying to select things as well.

Not for me. 1Password is ok in iMac 2021 and MacBook Air 20023. Evertything is working fine. Excuse my bad english, i am a bavarian.

There are ipsw's too:

for M3 macs

Some have had difficulty making the bootable usb for 23B2091.

You can try the ipsw to restore if necessary instead of the usb.

I think eventually the M3 macs will have the same installers and ipsws as the other macs so this difficulty is likely to only be a temporary one. Maybe till the 14.2 is released.

He might have been on a Mac with 4 GB RAM.. i dont think anyone told him 4 GB is not the same as 8 GB. Its only 8 GB thats the same as 16 GB. But 16 GB is only similar to 16 GB. 4 GB is actually the same as 2 GB on PC :/

But if you Da Vinci Resolve with only 128 GB you're gonna run into problems. I recommend 64 GB in that case as its the same as 256 GB, apparently.
I have 64 GB which is equal as 128 GB according to Apple. They are planing to charge double amount for RAM because they are losing money in this equality market.

Even if you dont option for higher RAM amount at purchase they will try charge you for that imaginary 64 GB extra that unified memory provides. You will ask where is this extra RAM… but they say it is there, just you cant see it.. but you can feel it. Its scarily fast 🧐

Hmm, been trying to update Sonoma on my MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Pro 16GB. Started download and it is making no progress at all!

Something doesn’t seem right. The first time I've ever had an update issue on this machine. What is going on here?

My iPhone and iPad updated just fine as usual.
