500 megabytes on iPad 9th gen, 800 megabytes on iPhone XS. for people going to upgrade to iPad 9, it downloaded in about 5 seconds. The update details show for me.

Am reading elsewhere it includes a fix for CarPlay, which is good because that's been pretty buggy of late IMHO.
In recent days, the CarPlay map has been a bit twitchy when I've set off from home. For several miles, the display would jitter about once a second while the car cursor in the middle couldn't make up its mind where it should be.

Intriguingly, clicking the music icon and then going back to the map fixes the jitter. I'll check it out tomorrow after this update, as it's been repeatably jittery.

Two first login after restart issues still present in 15.2.1

• If you have a long password and don’t complete it quickly enough, the device goes back to sleep while you’re still typing
• Overlapping lock icon on iPad mini 6

I held off on updating because of the weird lack of details on the screen earlier. Checked again and it’s showing full details now. Not doing the update because my replacement iPhone 13 Pro just arrived as I began typing this (one intermittently stuck pixel) so I’ll just backup this one and update the new one instead.

I recently upgraded to the iPhone 13 Pro. I’ve not yet experienced any touch issues. On my XR, iOS 15 was rather laggy at times but that went away with 15.2. In what situations are you still having touch issues?
On the Home Screen. Apps will not open and I have to tap them 2, 3 or more times. Started the phone as new when I got it no existing data.

Apple today released minor 15.2.1 updates for iPhone and iPad users, and the software comes one month after Apple launched iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 with a slew of improvements.

The iOS 15.2.1 and iPadOS 15.2.1 update can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes for the update, it addresses an issue causing Messages sent through an iCloud Link not to load and it fixes bug with third-party CarPlay apps not responding to input.

Has anyone noticed if it fixes the issue when trying to use Siri via AirPods to start a Apple Fitness workout on your Apple Watch? (while AirPods are connected to an iPhone and wearing an Apple Watch). Ever since getting my iPhone 13 Pro I can NOT use Siri through my AirPods and phone to start a workout on my watch. It either completely ignores my request OR sometimes it’ll say something like “Unable to connect to your HomePod”, which is odd because when I first noticed this issue I didn’t even have a HomePod Mini.

I’ve had the same issue since iOS 15 and watchOS 8 were released.
Previously was able to start a workout on the Watch using Siri via AirPods, now that doesn’t work, and always have to start it manually through the Watch… ??‍♂️
Haven’t tried it with 15.2.1, assumed it will need a watchOS update to eventually fix it?

Any fix for the iPhone 13 pro low volume bug on speaker calls & notification alerts ...

There are 2 aspects to the touch registration issue. Sometimes when you try to select an object on the screen, the object will show highlighted and not react, requires a second touch. Touching the display to wake the screen requires a second press to wake the display. The other touch registration issue is the *no touch* touch issue. This happens when your finger is very close to the display and the display registers the touch but you have not quite touched the display. I have reported both to Apple and they are aware of the issues. When this will be fixed is anyones guess.
^^ this I've been having touch issues as well. (11 Pro Max)

What are "Messages sent through an iCloud link"? Could someone please explain? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Nevermind. The official release notes from Apple make sense. "Messages may not load photos sent using an iCloud link."

MacRumors screwed it up and wrote something entirely different: "[...] addresses an issue causing Messages sent through an iCloud Link not to load."

This has definitely fixed the completely borked pinch to zoom gesture in Safari that was really annoying me the past few months.

It seems to have fixed an issue I've had for a while now with Audible on CarPlay. Before the update I had to manually open audible on the iPhone sometimes before it would play. Now it works as it should. I'd also had a problem where I had to sometimes unplug the phone and plug it back in for the CarPlay screen to come on. Audio would be playing and the indash info screen on the Nissan would say CarPlay but the infotainment screen would be at the source page with CarPlay grayed out. After this update that seems fixed.

Anyone else notice the yo-yo scrolling in Messages now? On the 13 Pro it’s like the refresh rate is off and looks terrible.

That’s annoying I’m sure.

I may have just experienced this with a temporary notification banner. I tried to tap it but it didn’t respond the first time.

So this is the 15.3 beta with a different number or is it a security hotfix disguised as something else?

This appears to have fixed the problem I was having in CarPlay of Overcast basically freezing up when trying to load a podcast upon startup of the car.

Interesting, I've had that as well. I would preload a podcast in Overcast, then plug into my car (which is just an aux converter, no CarPlay), and Overcast would freeze. I'll check this once I've updated.

CarPlay has been dodgy in both cars - not connecting and dropping out. Try power restarts to resolve. Issues today to and from beach and I had the latest software installed before trip.
You're on 15.3, which is a beta.
