As rumored, Apple today added to its iPod shuffle line 4 new colors, including pink, green, blue, and orange. With the update, Apple has modified its iPod Shuffle slogan from "Put some music on" to "Put some color on".

The new colors, otherwise identical to the previous silver-clad 1 GB clip-on shuffle, are shipping within 24 hours from Apple's online store.

much later

Next Tuesday then for iLife, iWork and Leopard :D

Not until April or May when Leopard comes out. The new iLife 07 may require Leopard for the new features. Maybe they will sell an iLife & Leopard bundle.

Electronic Confectionery - I'll take two please! :D

Hey, this is a brilliant move on Apple's part... I'm figuring a lot of hipsters are going to buy one of each to match their clothing... :p :apple:

edit:
Appleinsider said:
"iPod shuffle is the world's most wearable digital music player," said Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of Worldwide iPod Product Marketing. "Music fans can now choose iPod shuffle in one of five brilliant colors, or they can buy one of each."

Now, who's the smartass here? :D

Orange Nano, Orange iMac, Orange MacBook......just like the good ol' days, when you could have a matching desktop and laptop....

That explains why I bought a white 5G iPod and a Mighty Mouse... To match my G5 iMac, of course! But still, it'd be nice if Apple could bring colours back, add black to the pack AND keep the white. Surely they could do it, as soon as their marketshare goes up, no? :apple:
