I am updating now! Does it require 15.5 or 18.5 Beta 1?
No I’m running 18.4I am updating now! Does it require 15.5 or 18.5 Beta 1?
I really didn’t have to do anything - the update happened automagically. I happen to leave my APM plugged into an AC Adapter and I picked them up and plugged them into my iPhone via a USB cable it was working. It's not working for me, yet at least. Do you put them back into the case or just leave them out of the case connected to power?

One of the downsides to running betasWell fun fact, I have not been able to successfully use the new firmware on any 18.5 device. It hangs and does not allow me to do anything.

The audio quality is such an upgrade.
Although I've read that Bluetooth needs to be turned off for it to work better? That means that I also have to disconnect my Apple Watch 🤔
Does Spatial Audio + Lossless work in Logic with the USB-C cable?Mine updated! Currently connected to MacBook Pro in Logic with USB C cable![]()
It will default to the wired connection if it's plugged into your device.

In fact, some features do not work if you disable bluetooth.

It seems you cannot use Dolby Atmos when the bluetooth is off, but I think it often makes the songs sound weird depending on what it is.
Yes, but you have to have a master Surround Output channel in your mixer (with tracks routed to it), with the Spatial Audio Monitoring audio effect plugin enabledDoes Spatial Audio + Lossless work in Logic with the USB-C cable?
Dobly Atmos encoded tracks aren't Lossless, either... so it can't play those as "Lossless" over the cable anyway. I wonder if it's even sending Atmos tracks over the cable at all, or if it's just playing them through Bluetooth while your headphones charge from the cable...? 🤣It will default to the wired connection if it's plugged into your device.

It’s my understanding that spatial audio uses Dolby Atmos mastering so it isn’t true lossless.Yep, correct. It's encoded entirely differently. I would turn it off so you get the pure lossless goodness. I would be curious to get the answers to all of this. Does anyone know what happens with Spatial Audio?
To my ears, it sounds like the Personalized Spatial Audio is still running when connected with the USB cable and Bluetooth disabled. The head-tracking feature stops working if Bluetooth is disabled, thoughIt’s my understanding that spatial audio uses Dolby Atmos mastering so it isn’t true lossless.
