I also have a weird glitch, where if an alarm goes off, when I switch back to my music or podcast the volume is like 25% lower. Every single time... it's very annoying, hopefully this fixes that.

Nope. Did not fix it... annoying.

Finally an update for the overpriced headphones! :D /s
I’d like to know if there’s another set of headphones that has the same noise canceling ability and the same sound quality and the same ease of connectivity to my Apple devices.

If you find one that is less expensive, please let me know.

I hope you can see I am being sarcastic.

Huh. Another Tuesday goes by without an M4 MBA announcement.
Wonder if Apple will release an actual upgrade to the Max when they eventually get around to announcing the Pro 3's.
It looks like they might get announced next week. Imagine if they are announced on Tuesday 4th March 2025. That would be the same time as last year when the M3 Macbook Air got announced which was Monday 4th March 2024. Fingers crossed.

I really hope they release new one for the AirPods Pro 2, the 7B21 hasn’t been really great, I have experienced couple disconnecting problems here and also low volume sometime for absolute no reason.

I have been experiencing the same problem where the volume decreases for no apparent reason. I hope this gets fixed soon too.

Twitter or X as Musk wanted it to be known, and Reddit are full of well behaving people compared to MacRumors these days. What a lot of crap after this firmware update.

Wooo! Another release from the vaunted product pipeline! This ALL NEW AirPods Max firmware is the best, most powerful, most battery sipping AirPods Max firmware that Apple has ever released for the AirPods Max! This truly is the maximal firmware for pro max users!

I bought Sennheiser Momentum 4 two weeks ago. My first cans in over a decade and they totally slap and cost half as much. If airpods pro didn’t exist i’d be all in for $530 APM, but the buds are always in pocket if i need them for meetings or extended calls or workouts and such. The M4 obviously sound better than buds, but i’m here to tell you the airpods pro 2 are incredibly impressive. I didn’t fully appreciate it till i found they can compete with ear goggles. Can’t wait for series three. thanks for coming to my talk.

I've read numerous reports indicating that Apple intentionally degrades ANC on the AirPod with each firmware update. I don't know it those reports are true or not. Personally, I haven't noticed any deterioration in ANC on my APPro.

So now, are you saying that Apple is also intentionally degrading the quality of the lightning Max? If so, should I buy the USB C version?

What would happen to Apple if it became common knowledge of their intentional crippling of products to force purchase of new versions?
It’s called planned obsolescence and it’s not exclusive to Apple.
What happens when it becomes common knowledge? Nothing. People will keep on buying.

I don’t understand why any one buys these super overpriced headphones.

I have a pair of Beats Solo 4. Sound amazing. I can watch films with Spatial audio - head tracking (Dolby Atmos). I can use 3.5mm and USB-C (High definition playback) via the provided cables.

Out and about I use Beats Fit Pro (again, Spatial audio and for out and about noise cancelling).

The beats range are really impressive now.

Watching Top Gun (Dolby Atmos) at the weekend was a treat. Spatial audio is super impressive.

Moved to Sonos Arc after mine stopped working due to the tiny connector on the headband got corroded. I never wore them to the gym or in rain etc. I don't understand how they got corrosion from normal everyday wear. I'm keeping them in case Apple admits a design flaw and issue a replacement like they do with Macs every so often. I know it's a long shot but...

I would love to install the firmware update but my Maxs corroded on the small connecter and are now useless!
