What should the version number be in the settings app of this new firmware? Should it literally be "8B5034f"? Because the latest stable firmware is "8B34" but my AirPods Pro 3 have "8B34f" which is different from both the stable version and this new beta version.
I think some glitch in the MacRumors content presentation software keeps padding these version numbers with extra digits.

AirPod firmware updates have been working fine - until now. The option for beta updates disappeared and nothing I try has fixed the issue (developer mode, attached to machine with xcode running, resetting airpods, tried it all).
Same here. Must be an issue with iOS 26.3.

I’ll try on my iPad later today.

Are you running the latest Developer Beta/RC (23D125) or the latest official version (23D127)? The version of iOS you are running drives the Beta toggle… or that’s been my experience.
Wait- so to be able to get the beta firmware do we need to be running the 26.3 RCs instead of the final versions?

What kind of issues? On the new beta firmware?
not on the beta. they just worked flawlessly since November and now they sometimes don't connect and sometimes the audio has static or breaks down into crazy digital noise on a call. not always, just sometimes.

I definitely don't miss wires at all... and after years of wired apple earplugs I was so blown away by the sound on the pros.
That’s awesome! I did read that it’s also nice to be able to seamlessly switch between various Apple devices 🙂Enjoy
To each their own, as usualZ

yeah that's the most impressive thing about the AirPods Pro 3's to me cus my pro 2's were terrible at seamlessly switching. they always got stuck on whatever device I didn't want them on
