Same, I’m in Germany and don’t see the option. It doesn’t say anywhere though that it’s just for the US which is a bit annoying
Could be, could be a bug or server side issue, I’m in Australia and updated my AirPods Pro 2 USB-C with a 15 Pro Max.
I did need to forget and reset then re-pair the AirPods for the update to happen, menu always showed for me though.

I did have some internet recovery and activation issues on multiple devices within the past 12-24 hours, and App Store downloads failing across multiple devices on different internet connections.
People also were unable to check for system updates around the same period, I didn’t check Apple system status at the time as I wasn’t too bothered, status looks fine currently.

@cmatuk reported swapping from appleseed to developer beta updates made it work for them, it’s worth checking you’re on developer beta iOS updates just in case.

I´m on iPadOS 26. The update for my airpods is shown.

What happens, if i update the airpods to the beta and use it with my iPhone which is on iOS 18.5?

I was finally able to update my AirPods Pro 2 Lightning using my iPad. The beta option only shows up on iPadOS 26 for my AirPods Pro 2. On my iPhone on iOS 26 the beta option does not show up. However after updating the AirPods the new features do show up on iPhone.

The beta option does show up on my iPhone with my AirPods 4.
