Apple today released new firmware updates for the Powerbeats Pro, Beats Fit Pro, and the Beats Studio Buds. The Powerbeats Pro firmware is version 5B55, up from 4A394, the Beats Studio Buds firmware is version 10M2155, up from 10M359, and the Beats Fit Pro firmware is version 5B55, up from 4E64.

Apple does not provide details on what's included in refreshed firmware updates for the Beats earbuds or for the AirPods, so we are not sure what improvements or bug fixes the new firmware brings.

There's no standard way to upgrade the ‌Beats‌‌ software, but firmware is generally installed over-the-air while the earbuds are connected to an iOS device. Putting the Beats‌‌‌‌‌ in the case, connecting them to a power source, and then pairing them‌‌‌‌‌ to an iPhone or iPad should force the update after a short period of time.

If we find notable changes after the firmware update is installed, we'll share details, but the software likely includes performance improvements and bug fixes rather than outward-facing changes.

Update: Apple appears to have added a Beats Studio Buds
option that allows users to cancel a call by pressing the on-device button once or twice.

What about AirPods Pro 2 with the drifting sound issue it’s been in beta for months

Need airpods pro 2 foremost because soundstage of spatial audio loses its field.

Just today at the gym I realized the ANC on the Beats Fit Pro got about 60% worse. I could clearly hear people talking, with music at 80% volume.

I guess it’s the sad state of things given they are basically Airpods Pros and Apple had to worsen ANC on them too due to the Jawbone troll laswuit.

I hope the update fixes that, but I won’t be holding my breath for that.

I always wondered if Beats sound better than AirPods…
They most certainly do.

I’ve had every AirPod since gen1, then APP, and APP2.

I tried a set of Beats Fit Pro that were on-sale at Costco. I was blown away at how much better they sound than APP2.

I’m a convert now. I even like the color (Sage Grey) and the case better.

They got a firmware update last month I believe:

September before launch:

And earlier today!

Where is the Firmware to fix ANC on the AirPods Max?

Sorry to laugh emoji at your post. I feel for you as Apple has got the lot of you “had” whom purchased the AirPods Max.

Without getting Hi-Res audio from the start I felt that the Max was insanely overpriced! That and the brah carrying case. Honestly I really feel for you and honestly Apple really needs to honour you all putting so much faith into this.

When Apple releases the AirPods Max 2 with incredible features you should ALL demand a significant trade in bonus !!

the powerbeats pro should get an update imo. the beats fit pro doesn't simply replace it

It fully replaces it in every way:
Longer batter life,
Smaller carrying/charging case,
ANC + Ambient sound,
Smaller buds that still fit when working out or flips and twists,
Same chipset and features like, Spacial Audio as the AirPods Pro/2.
Better mids & highs than the #3s of your earphones.

Yeah all around better.

This has been like this for over 2hrs now. Not todays firmware update - that’s I’ve personally noticed.

the best thing going for the powerbeats pro is the ability to use it during rough movements. the powerbeats pro pretty much fits on almost everyone's ears without shaking or falling out. the beats fit pro is hit or miss.

Nah. Especially either the previous firmware updates on Beats Fit Pro’s.

Initially upon release post definitely yet remember AirPod Pro’s had a terrible firmware release upon Beats Fit Pro’s launch.

100% Agree. The BFP are just all around fantastic. They actually stay put in my ear during running, at the gym, etc. The sound is very balanced and pleasing. Just enough bass and treble. I had the APP and the sound was anemic-yes even with proper fit. No bass and just dull.

Yeah, the matte cases are far better than the glossy white plastic the AirPods cases use.

The fit pro case is actually rubbish though. Can’t work out why they decided to go with such a cheap feeling lid when everything else about the product is brilliant.
