I just avoid wireless mice entirely. (Though it is tough on my HTPC.) The keyboards work well enough.

The only Microsoft product I'll voluntary go out of my way to get is the Natural Ergonomic Desktops. I am disappointed how its not bluetooth yet though, so I can stop using a USB HUB. The mouse lags a bit in gaming though.

When I look back on my Windows days I can agree with that statement.

On the Mac I am impressed with how well wireless works. I have been using the magic mouse since day one and it works better than any wired PC mouse I have used. Again, the "it just works" principle applies. Same can be said for Airport Extreme/Expresses. Apple just gets it right.

Quite a strange statement. Have you read about well documented issues with iPad WiFi, iPhone WiFi, screwed up WiFi N antennas in Airports? Besides, Apple contibutes very little to wireless technologies in general. It just uses exactly the same components that all PC manufacturers do. And you should be the only person in the world who experienced any issues with wired mice. Even the $5 ones "just work". Magic mouse on the other hand... Here is what one fellow MacRumorer wrote: "I have a 27 inch IMAC and having a problem with the Magic Mouse. Sometimes it has a mind of its own and starts scrolling without any finger motion from me. The navigation feature (forward and back) doesn't work worth a darn. I usually have to do the two finger swipe left and right several times and sometimes up to five for any response on the screen. Anybody have similar issues or any ideas." Link.

Ya and people also have yellow tint supposedly with 27" iMacs. Not me. And I have two 27" iMacs for my business (C2D and i7) and neither have yellow tint.

Wireless mice are flawless for us. We prefer the ergonomics of Kinesis Freestyle keyboards so we go wired for that. Also, Airport is rock solid. Since adding Extreme/Expresses to our network, we never have issues with our Macs connecting wirelessly. Can't say the same for our Windows days.

But not the first strange statement from him.... Windows killed his children, and Apple is the Resurrection.

This isn't attacking me right? Even though you admonished a forum member on BD thread for attacking others.

There's no need to attack other forum members - please ratchet the rhetoric down a bit....

I would have expected i7 on the high end 27" model as a baseline... that's slightly disappointing.

Those are some HOT iMacs. Really hot. When will they redesign it so that it won't overheat?
And it looks like nvidia is still out

edit: what about the mini? no updates?

geez... bitch bitch bitch... you must be a joy to be around.

It's desktop... it'll be fine if it gets hot, just don't cover the air vents.

my new sandybridge macbookpro runs far hotter than my core 2 duo, but that's to be expected considering the power it contains

My last experience with the new magic mouse was one of batteries dying quickly. I have a logitech that has been using the same set of batteries for almost a year.

I got one of these new iMacs. Had it 2 days now, am very happy. To answer current topic about battery life in keyboard and mouse: yes, these devices drink battery juice. I suppose that's why they brought out a charger
