So far the only functional issue that I've encountered is the crayon color pane. When launching Pages 09 there is an annoying pause as it loads where black rectangles are predrawn before the dialog windows appear. This happens only upon initial startup of Pages.

I'm more comfortable with iWork '09 working properly on El Cap... especially since I haven't run into any additional functional issues. But one thing that I'm doing is installing any future updates on only one OSX device (I am fortunately enough to have a few) and running some tests with iWork '09 before committing my more critical systems to an update.

Sorry, can't be of any help there. I went from Mavericks to El Cap. Never installed Yosemite.
Are you using a third-party Solid State Drive?

Anyone having issues with Internet Sharing in 10.11.3?

Solutions?

Update: Never mind. I got it working again. It’s still slow, providing up to 4 megabits of throughput despite having a 30 megabit Internet connection. But at least it works. My problem turned out to be that the Ethernet cable connected to the router wasn’t plugged in all the way.

You must have something else wrong with it as well. I've got a 30Mbps rated connection and I get 32.5Mbps through Gigabit Ethernet all day long (i.e. repeated testing).

What I'd like to know is where are the games with METAL support? I haven't seen a single one yet (not even an update). I haven't heard of a real world demonstration that it does ANYTHING better than older OS X versions did without it. All my Xbench testing tells me El Capitain is night and day slower than Mavericks for graphic handling using the old Quartz methods so it would seem the only thing keeping it feel similar in the GUI is Metal (i.e. I didn't try Yosemite which I heard was awful on older Macs). OTOH, my 2008 MBP isn't too bad with El Capitan in "feel" but the tests read bad still so maybe those tests don't work right anymore (they are ancient) for some reason. I'd like to see a game like Borderlands 2 updated to use Metal calls to see how much faster it really is in actual use. Aspyr claimed they were going to update some older games, but I haven't seen any evidence thus far of them actually following through.

I’ve heard that StarCraft: Legacy of the Void is supposed to support Metal but I don’t know when.

Whenever I open a Pages ’09 document, a black rectangle is predawn before the document appears. Is that the issue you’re having? Or was that just for the color picker?
