Combo Update direct links? Where can I find them?
Honestly, I hate the App Store Downloads so much. They don't show filesizes in advance. Unreliable slow downloads very often with resuming the downloads very very badly.... and then it is expected for you to download for each machine...

Hell for low bandwidths, I guarantee you...

The big think I miss in Photos is the lack of folders. If you drop a folder of pictures onto Photos the folder and name vanishes. Say if you had a folder of pics called 'My Wedding' once its imported the folder structure has gone. I loved this in Aperture. Really not impressed.

create an album and drag the folder into the album. under the "photos" tab they will be meshed in the timeline but you can still have projects and albums.

Glad to see it, hopefully it's nice and stable by now! I'll wait to download it for a little bit though to be sure.

I hope some of the many bugs that make Yosemite a daily frustration are finally fixed. Fingers crossed!!

Haven't installed it yet, but how ugly is Photos? Just plain white the photos in a row. Welcome to 1990. Yes, we have just I invented colour screens and don't know yet how to use it to its full potential.

Tho those suffering the effects of Yosemites memory leak issue eating up all your ram

In the last public beta my ram usage has consistently stayed below 50% whereas it normally would be around 90%

So that's good news

Haven't tested the final release tho abviously

I’m concerned as well... I want to upgrade my mid 2012 MBP

The change log says that this update "Improves Wi-Fi performance and connectivity in various usage scenarios". So we can only hope it will fix the problem.

On another note; the change log doesn't mention anything about new GPU drivers for iris 6100 (rMBP 2015). Is this something they usually don't put into the notes? So there's still a chance that they did I mean..

is there any way to do a clean install of this? the yosemite download in the app store is still 10.10.2 but I want to do a 100% clean install. if i download 10.10.2 installer will it update to 10.10.3 during the install over the net in the background or should I wait for the app store to update the yosemite download?

Question to anyone who has downloaded Yosemite 10.10.3 and who had iPhoto on Yosemite 10.10.2

Does iPhoto get removed and replaced by Photos or are both programs side by side on your Mac after the upgrade?

No, it won't auto-update during the install. The one that you download is the one that gets installed. You'll just have to wait for it to be updated. Shouldn't be too long. They'll be wanting people to upgrade straight to get Photos.

Not with OS X Caching Server you don't need to.

Is WiFi finally fixed?

That was going to be my question. I had the public beta which had appalling WiFi - like literally 500 - 2,400ms PING responses and constant dropping out.

I had to do a Time Machine restore it was so bad.

Anyone got a 15" Late 2013 rMBP 2.0GHz base model that can test first? ;)

Thanks

pac

Side by side.

You don't need to do a clean install!

Dictation

Last night, I was reminded that I still have to toggle off/on voice dictation in Preferences when I think to use it. I wake dictation with my key sequence, but it won't take voice input. So, I have to open preferences and turn it off and on again. It seems like a bug to me. I'd like that to be fixed. I guess I'll find out tonight?
