And this is why I always go for Lossless compression.
I don't see any point in paying for QuickTime Pro.
Say what? I can imagine millions of people now cursing at their lovingly-ripped libraries.
So how about GPU decoding?
Saving quicktime files embedded in web pages is MUCH easier. Yeah, there are ways around it without 'pro' but being able to right-click and save is worth the $30 to me.
Just to save an embedded webclip, you'd happily pay $30 to get the Pro version?![]()
Want to save one to your desktop? How would YOU do it? I can do it in 2 seconds. I can get around that without Quicktime Pro, but it takes time and is a pain. Yes, I would pay $30 just to avoid that.
I understand your point, but I don't agree with paying just to save a movie.
Can someone confirm this won't break the 7.5 Pro key I bought just a couple months ago?
QuickTime X.
Not a web-clip. An actual quicktime movie.
Go watch any of these trailers:

Perhaps that new Quicktime X player will do it.When will they be able to .wmv without Flip4Mac?
I now get a crash in Photo Booth when trying to advance to a different effects pane. Does anyone else have this happen? I used to have Photo Booth crash when skimming through saved photo's and videos and stopping at a video would unexpectedly quit the application. That problem seems to be resolved now.
I had a slight issue with this update. I installed this update, which then automatically restarted my computer. It rebooted and everything loaded as normal. Then I opened Safari, Mail, and iTunes and all crashed instantly. I tried again numerous times and same result. I tried opening up Disk Utility to repair permissions/verify the disk and that also crashed. I was about to dig up my Leopard install disc, but I wanted to try just restarting it. I did and now obviously everything works. I started to freak for a second. It must've just been a caching issue? Maybe for some reason my computer didn't restart a second time and it was supposed to?
