5G is great in a stationary setting.
On a mobile phone, it‘s usually not noticeably faster than 4G.
The technological jumps from generation to generation get less relevant for the user over time.
2G —> 3G was massive. 3G —> 4G was very noticeable. 4G —> 5G is hardly noticeable in many settings.
I do think the speeds increases are more significant than what you’re getting at, but it’s the coverage that is lacking. That’s the real reason we haven’t seen many noticeable real-world speed bumps IMO

The few cell towers here where I am, NE England with Three provider, I have consistently received between 400 Mbps and 1Gbps over 5G, not for everyone I agree but where I get 5G, it is fast! And the ability to download iOS updates over 5G is a bonus!

I haven‘t checked green hue with min brightness on my 12PM, but the yellow tint seems to be fixed.
True Tone is still very warm, but I suppose that that‘s WAI.

Before I retuned my 12 mini, I used it a little on a 5G network. It might be faster, but I can't perceive the difference. Honestly, I'm back on a first generation SE, and while it's noticeably slower than the 12, it's still perfectly usable. 5G just isn't a differentiator, and in fact is probably a minus, all things considered, due to the additional battery drain.

I actually dont use 5g just bcus the extra battery usage, 4g is good enough when im not on wifi

I just updated my 12 Pro Max and the yellow tint is NOT 'fixed' at all.

It's a deliberate factory calibration for eye health. Same calibration is seen on latest Galaxy phones with the same panels. I agree it's really ugly though.

It's funny how you guys see what you want to see and not what's actually there.

The lag and stutter issues are just plain ridiculous. I thought Apple was supposed to have changed their approach with new iOS versions and take their time and really concentrate on fixing bugs first. There should not be lag and stutter issues on version 14 of software on phones with 6 GB of ram.

Just checked in pitch black environment - green greys are not fixed.
Yellowing is definitely better with turned-off color filter and turned-off True Tone.

It won’t. Not even MacRumors has the courage to report on it.

It is their most active topic in the forums and they have been emailed to run a story. They are aware, there is just a lack of courage.

I do wonder what happened with that.

supposedly it was an article that was going to go live a few weeks ago and never happened

its not like there isn't a 150+ page thread in the main iPhone sub forum

You could tell that MacRumors copy and pasted this news bulletin from their previous posts:

"...may reveal the design of the AirPods Studio"? This product has already been announced as of this morning! And they are not called the AirPods Studio! They are called the AirPods Max!

C'mon MacRumors! I expected better! Clean that up!
I’m not surprised and I agree with you. But they don’t like to be told this. Lol

You shouldn t need to turn off True Tone. My X has great whites which true tone on and off. And even more if I compare with my new 12 pro max

I previously had an X with a perfect screen, so I agree, and that‘s the reason why I‘m commenting on the 12PM‘s screen. I‘m very close to having my iPhone replaced. But I have doubts the new phone will be any better :(

Laggy keyboard, missed messages notifications, overall horrible RAM management FIXED??
My keyboard is fine, seriously, when a keyboard is laggy, apps are trying to steal your data. You got any bad actors on there? Missed messages is that from android only, I don't have any issue, but no one owns a robophone. RAM management? What issues should I be seeing, cause I am not seeing any

AirPods Pro stability is still rubbish. They work great on my iPad but cut in and out on my 12 Pro.
