Still cant get HTML5 Youtube videos playing correctly without lag or UI problems, anyone else experiencing this?

Yes. Same here. Buttons won't work on Youtube. Extensions seem to be experiencing odd behavior. Also Gmail is all messed up. Heck, I couldn't even log in here on Safari 5.1.4. I had to use Opera to sign in and post.

Have you tried resetting Safari and clearing the cache?

Yes, and restarted my my mac just incase. I tried by reset Safari more than once, manually went in my Users Library/Cache folder and deleted the dafari cache folder, ran Onyx, repaired permissions, ran maintenance scripts. I've even rebooted twice.

Available for Windows XP but NOT Mac OS X LEOPARD ???

Are you kidding me Apple? Pathetic support, especially considering all the privacy invasion leak scandal stories involving Safari. :(

PS: The latest iTUNES is available for Leopard. Go figure.

Safari 5.1.4 gives first graphics card crash ever for me.

After installing Safari 5.1.4 with Mac OSX 10.7.3 on a 2010 Macbook Pro, I had the first graphics card crash ever. The new safari couldn't handle the changing mode of the graphics card and instead crashed. I thin:(k we will have an update to the OS to fix the Safari update soon.

I would hold off updating Safari if you use a 2010 Macbook Pro for work a few days to see if more than my machine hiccups. Could be just mine...

Basically text looks discolored and choppy for a couple of seconds, till it loads. Click to see larger:

It's not a bug. Simply in this moment shows a screenshot page in jpg.

Nope. It DOES require a restart after updating (at least on my Dad's Mac Mini with SL 10.6.8).

Must be a Lion feature that doesn't require a restart.

Or, your Dad's Safari was a few versions behind before he updated?

Once i've clicked on the bookmarks toolbar in Firefox i can hover over each folder and the dropdown menu will appear whereas Safari requires two clicks (with a pause in between) to move between each folder, so annoying.

F I N A L L Y ! ! ! God, this was driving me crazy!

if I click pdf's, they get downloaded instead of show up inside Safari. Does this happen to anyone else?

I went and downloaded an ran latest nightly webkit and the problems are gone. Guess I'll be on the nightly webkit until a fix is released.

Safari needs help

I'm using it now, but my 16GB iMac Core i7 hates me when I use Safari. Why? This is always the result, even if I only have a few tabs open:

Firefox has never come that close, memory nor CPU wise. Personally, Safari 3.x was the best - 4 and now 5 have been CPU and memory hogs for me on all my Macs.

Address an issue that could cause webpages to flash white when switching between Safari windows

Oh my god, I hope this is true. That has been driving me up the @#$%&* wall!

I /was/ seeing really odd behavior when pasting GPS coordinates into google maps when Xcode was running; after a number of times then Safari beach-balled and Xcode started to thrash -- meaning loads of disk IO.

Let's see if this fixes it! The jury is still out... ;-)

Gmail is totally messed up for me, too, in Safari. I have had to go onto Chrome now until Apple sorts this out.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/9B176)

I need a patch badly. Can't even play YouTube videos on my 2011 MBP. It's embarrassing as I live in a house full of PC users.
