Finally. The last version on mavericks was buggy. It would hang in there for a dozen of seconds when visiting bing.com and sometimes would not be able to open a website while there was no problem for firefox.

Hopefully this fixes the random slow loading issues I've been having.

Amen.

You've made one basic error there. You used Bing.

Google broken??

Is Google search broken for anyone else?

I updated to 8.0.2 today, and now Google searches don't work. The Google page loads fine, but any attempt to search from the Google page or from the quick search bar just hangs.

Still working fine with Chrome, though.

EDIT:
Well, a reboot and repair permissions fixed it. Everything else was already working fine, though... weird.

My only complaint with Safari has been constant since Mavericks. There seems to be a bug that prevents the authentication dialog from appearing when I am connected to network drives via smb. The effect is that I cannot load my company's internal websites without disconnecting from the network drives.

Safari 8.0.1 download takes hours

I wonder why I need 30 minutes to download 300 KB of 68,6 MB for the 8.0.1 Safari update. I have a 30mb/s connection...

Is there something wrong with the Apple Servers?

Try getting 8.0.2 instead.

8.0.1 was pulled so there is no point trying to get that anyway.

on what type of Mac?

If you are finding that Safari 8.0.2 is working for you, please note your Mac info.

Great if the update is working for you, but I have an iMac 10.10.1, 27" screen; mid 2011.

Do you have the same and the update is working for you?
