Chrome has always loaded pages way faster for me. When you speak about faster do you mean responding to hotkeys like Ctrl + W and Ctrl + T?

No, just faster overall. For instance, I use Chromium at work, with a much faster laptop than my personal one. My slower laptop with Safari Tech Preview, with more tabs loaded in it, blows it out of the water.

Got it. I have no experience with the preview version. I've always had a mixed bag with Safari. The overall architecture is very fast, but then it has quirks which make it a more frustrating user experience for me. For instance the page loading is a bit slower, and then also sometimes you have to press enter twice when putting in a URL because if you do it once it won't input. Tab organization is still poor compared to chrome, lack of flash, just things like that make it less of a full experience. I tried using safari for a solid 4 months, when I got my first rMBP in 2015, but it didn't work out. I think the mechanics are quicker, but the actual loading type actions are slower. Not sure if that makes sense, I'm not experienced with behind the scenes coding.

I've never experienced any type of slow down with multiple tabs in chrome. I usually have 3-4 windows with 10-12 tabs open on each lol. I like keeping various projects open. Totally agree that resource usage is absurd compared to the efficiency of Safari.
