I'm trying to install watch OS 7 Beta 2 and on my iPhone the watch app says ' installing' but nothing happens. Anyone on what goes wrong here? I took the watch from the power and now the watch says that the update was successful . Very odd. Now everything works fine after a hard reset of the watch. The problem was that the watch lost contact with the phone

Weird, I have lots of music on mine, don't use mail or message or social stuff, maybe you had more than you thought. On usage under General I have 2.8 GB Available

My AW3 is telling me the minimum storage required for the update (from beta 1 to new beta 2) is 2.8GB, so maybe you were right on the line.

Deleted some apps, photos & music - but needed a restart for that to register & the upgrade to start. Takes a while & does sit low on the progress bar for a long time 'Preparing'.

I’m not installing this until or unless Apple fixes whatever is causing the S3 Watch to think it needs over 3 GB of free space to install a 1 GB update. It’s simply not worth going through the hassle of unpairing and re-pairing the Watch to install this beta, especially as the S3 Watch is barely getting any new features anyway.
If it’s the same as iOS doesn’t it have to unpack the download, clone the current OS, update the cloned OS then finally delete the old install. That needs a lot of space!

Hopefully before release they can reduce the required space to compete the update.

twice ive downloaded (slowly) this update, then its said something like it cannot be verified because its not connected to the internet. then it starts downloading again from the start.

New option within Handwashing setting to receive a notification if you haven’t washed your hands within a few minutes of returning home. There was a location services prompt when first turning this on.

Are these features actually working though? I haven't had any luck despite enabling all the settings. I've never had a hand washing timer or a notification.

finally got it installed, and I find myself in common situation with iOS and MacOS updates, of being relieved that it seems to be working fine but underwhelmed that I cant honestly see a difference between this and the old watchOS.

I looked at a list of apparent new features.

watch faces, I cant see anything new, are none of them available for Apple Watch 3? apparently I can share my watch faces with other people, why would I want to do that when theres nothing different about them? at least by having this useless button that wasnt there before I can see that I have indeed upgraded.

sleep tracking. I had a sleep tracking app before. I got bored of it.

hand washing. not available for Apple Watch 3.

the activity app is now called fitness. not on my watch its not.
