Thanks....wanted to be sure. Has you noticed when checking for updates in the App Store that you get the beach-ball for a few seconds and at the same time the system is not responsive until update check is complete? It only lasts a few seconds but noticed this with both El Capitan an macOS Sierra....annoying.
Yup. It does get annoying sometimes.

I've had no problem using AirVPN, but they have the advantage of a dedicated VPN app instead relying on the godawful Tunnelblick.

Yeah I'm using Private Internet Access with their own app as well.

I've been using PIA with the built-in VPN settings since upgrading to Sierra. Tunnelblick has been very unreliable. The only downside is that I have to manually connect/reconnect every time the computer reboots or is unlocked . . .

Use Viscosity! Works great with PIA and is easy to use.

Significant update would be better performance and better graphics support. This is just features you could live without.

Public Beta 2 seems to be chewing up my memory. I have 16 GB, have only Safari, Mail, and Activity Monitor running, and have only 5 GB free. I've logged in and out and restarted to no avail.

I have 32GB of Ram and 12.6 GB Active and 2.3 GB wired only running FireFox and calendar.

I hope they fix issues with Adobe CC programs in this.

Another thing someone mentioned I noticed is the Notifications tab on dark mode is in light mode when you use it. lol. Makes no sense.

After installing the beta I am no longer able to access my desktop, it just keeps throwing me in a loop every time I attempt to sign in. Has anyone else had the same issue and if so, how were you able to fix it? I'm on a 2013 MacBook Air and no, I (stupidly) do not have a time machine backup as I've never had this issue arise before.

Apparently booting into recovery mode (Cmd-R) and selecting reinstall OS may fix it without losing data. I think I'll hold off installing this beta, this particular issue seems quite widespread.

That's what I ended up having to do as the other suggested methods I seen around here didn't do anything.

The sleep/wake bug is still there. Every time I put the computer into sleep mode it will be very difficult to wake up. The backlight is on, but nothing is being displayed.

It has something to do with an app messing up with the Kernel. Possibly DuetDisplay. I don't remember the steps but I fixed it. Google it, you can probably easily fix it too!

Same, awful! Running a 2012 MacBook Air w 4 GB of RAM and it's dreadful. Ran beautifully on El Capitain.

But I can't think of any apps that have anything two do with secondary displays. This didnt happen before Sierra

And - there's a reason these products have a beta status. So, take backups before installing and unless you can take outages on that computer, install somewhere else.

Agreed but it is not just CC apps with problems, mostly print related and using graphic co-processing as accelerator, it is also older Adobe apps like Acrobat X Pro (10.1.16), where the printing is 100% broken. I am not going to update to Acrobat DC - it is just too expensive and X Pro does everything I need.

PB2 did not want to download, as update to PB1, so downloading whole OS at the moment 4.86GB, Assume current OS download will be PB2.

There is something screwy about this PB2. It did not show in App Store as an update to PB1, so I went to the Apple beta site. It downloaded the whole OS but when it finished reinstalling, I had the same build as before 16A238. However, the PB2 update was now showing in the App Store. Downloaded it and it could not install because it could not be verified. Someone at Apple is not checking these Betas properly prior to release.

Keep trying with downloading the beta 2 in your app store update, should work. It is getting lousy with this kind of repeat download, it is frustrating.

Anyone else see PB2 still available as an install even though it has been installed.
