Enable the VPN from the iPhone/iPad Settings page and not the OpenVPN Connect app.
Unfortunately this workaround doesn’t work for me :(
If I launch the OpenVPN Connect app I can connect to the VPN but as soon as I close the app the connection closes as well. If I try and connect via Settings - VPN the toggle immediately untoggles itself and I can’t connect...

I installed it on my X. I actually think it runs slower. I know it’s a beta and will improve towards its official release but just wanted to forewarn those thinking of installing the beta for its speed gains, that they won’t get them in this beta.

These betas have been 100% better than any public beta or public release of IOS11. My iPX is functional again and the battery is normal.

I’ve had an opposite experience. My iPhone X worked perfectly on iOS 11 and the 12 Public Beta slowed it down. Everything from typing to going home seems to be laggy.

I have a 256GB with about 78GB used.

I’ve also found several bugs using it for only 10 minutes. Tapping a text form like this one, doesn’t move the cursor. I’m having to use 3D Touch on the keyboard to move the cursor around.

Also, the time on my lock screen disappeared.

The latest Version is 16A5318d and I'm on Version 16A5308e and it's been saying all afternoon that I'm up to date on my 1st Gen iPad Air. Do they release the betas in waves now? Any way to force it to download?

Lost all contacts on my watch with this update. Messages just shows phone numbers and activity sharing just shows email addresses. This may be a big enough bug to send me back to iOS 11, unless there’s a way to go back to the first public beta?

GPS issue appears resolved but I still don't see any albums after syncing photos.
Entering the album name in the search field finds it but 'My Albums' only show the Camera Roll.

No problems in casual use on iPad mini2 here. This release maintains all the performance boosts from beta 1. I like this iOS 12 beta better than any release of iOS 11 so far. It has made the mini2 useable again for me.

Update fails to install on my iPad... no reason shown.. sad !

€dit: after 3 failed attempts it worked.. probably just was an overloaded server.

I’m really looking forward to iOS 12. A focus on quality is welcome.

And shortcuts looks amazing. Can’t wait to play with that for hours.

I had that issue but unpaired watch and repaired and it worked for me.

anything worthwhile for an iphone X to update now? Updated my ipad mainly to have a little more UI consistency between ipad and iphone. shortcuts isn't widely available yet to play with, and screentime will have most use when I get it on my daughters phone (muahahah)

This happened to me randomly a few months ago. Try going into the watch app on your phone and reset sync data. That fixed it for me.

Installed PB2 this morning, has colour saturation been lowered for everyone or is it just me?

Looks washed out.

First time using iOS 12. On public beta 2. Filed a couple of bugs already. In Carplay (Sony XAV-AX100) a playlist will highlight, but go no further. On Notifications the X's and CLEAR buttons take many taps before I seem to find the right spot. Had no problem with iOS 11.

This happened to me also. I tried to do a "Reset Sync Data", I tried unpairing it and restoring from a back up and also tried setting it up as a new watch. Nothing I tried brought my contacts back. Hopefully they'll come back with the next beta release... fingers crossed.

Neither unpairing and repairing nor resetting sync data worked for me, unfortunately. ):

Installed iOS 12 PB2 on an old iPad Mini 2 because I was curious about the new maps, plus that device needs all the extra speed it can get at this point. I went in pretty skeptical given Maps' checkered history, but much to my surprise Apple Maps has now pulled noticeably ahead of Google Maps in areas where Apple Maps has been historically weak (for me the biggest one was data in off-road areas like parks). The next question is how long it takes them to expand the new maps to the rest of the US and international locations.

Welp.
Going from the first public beta to this second one just bricked my 12 "iPad Pro! It won't progress past the Apple logo & has been that way for two hours. Grrrr.

<edit>

Tried restoring back to 11.4, then updating again... still a no go. IM OUT.
