I'm having an issue with this update and beta 1 with my external drive not connecting to my Mac via external dell display, anyone else having issues with this? I've tried different ports and updating the software but nothing seems to work. Bit of a pain cause my Time Machine backup is now getting quite out of date.
If it's USB-C based, unmount the external drive, then pull the connector, wait a few seconds and plug it in again. I had a different instance yesterday once. see post

How about simply booting into recovery mode and reinstall MacOS which should be this beta.

Hi. Yes I did that. The terminal windows are gone but now half of my apps crash on opening. Unfortunately Im going to have to do a clean install sometime soon

Did this fix the memory leak with WindowServer? It was growing to 30+ GB for me with the Beta 1 release so I reverted to Monterey

I wonder if you have some rogue app causing this leak. I have not seen any leak like this since a very early 16.0 beta.

I hope the next update fixes battery life issues. I get half the runtime I got just a few weeks ago.

I hope 13.1 sorts out my PDF previews in Mail. Used to get the nice Adobe icon preview… no I get a blank white file icon.

Unless anyone knows a fix since updating to 13?

Fully agree. Should be degraded to the previous design...which would be an update for me.
I'm referring to the text. I appreciate the slaying of System Preferences, to be honest. It was awful and we really only tolerated it because we were used to it. But System Settings isn't ready.

This beta has broken my Macbook Pro 14". Now nothing (except Safari) opens but just brings up a terminal window.View attachment 2110698
It's simple to revert to the non-Beta if needed if you had a TimeMachine backup. The back need not be the non-Beta either, a TM of the beta will work fine. Simply boot into Recovery mode, wipe the entire drive and reinstall macOS, this will not be Ventura, it will be Monterey. One done boot into Monterey and run Migration Assitant utility and use TimeMachine to restore your latest save. Once done, you are in the latest official Ventura and all your applications and data are restored.

There really shouldn't be anything about beta 2 not being usable on a 14" MBP, I have no issues using a 16" M1 Max MBP, as well as M1 24" iMac.

Since the system FW has been updated to match this beta, it's just a matter of reinstalling the MacOS again with the latest version.

If you wanted to be more thorough and you have the Mac backed up to a ASR volume you would do a DFU restore which totally wipes the 14" MBP and installs a fresh copy of the latest beta or last Ventura release. Then you do a migration assistance process using the ext ASR volume where your backup was done to totally restore your Mac to being like it was before this happened.

What is the ETA for the public release of this version? I have been holding off upgrading to Ventura until this one is out.

This needs updating (bold added). 😀
With Apple support on the phone now. Trying to downgrade back to Monterey. Ventura is a total disaster for me. My DLNA server stopped working and it is not possible to reinstall it. New System settings are TERRIBLE! Never been so pissed off with Apple.
