Apple today provided developers with the second betas of upcoming watchOS 26.3, tvOS 26.3, and visionOS 26.3 betas for testing purposes. The software comes four weeks after Apple provided the first betas.

The software updates are available through the Settings app on each device, and because these are developer betas, a free developer account is required.

We don't know what new features might be added in watchOS 26.3, visionOS 26.3, and tvOS 26.3, and nothing new has been discovered so far. Apple doesn't typically provide release notes for betas, so we might not know what's new until the software updates see a public launch unless there are outward-facing changes.

The software updates will probably launch right around the end of January based on past release timelines.

Has tvOS 26.3 (any beta) fixed the issue with tvOS 26.2 breaking the Thread network when using an Apple TV 4K as the thread broader router? Just after new year all my thread devices went offline. Just the Thread ones, all the rest were working fine.

Rebooted the Apple TV 4K several times, reset it and re-installed the release version of tvOS 26.2 and nothing helped. The Thread network would return upon reboot but only for a few hours then, one by one the thread devices would go offline again with all of them going offline after approx 6 hours. You would have to reboot the Apple TV 4K again to restore the Thread network but only for a few hours.

Was driving me insane so I bought a HomePod mini and added that to my Apple Home, set it as my default home hub and left it on its default version 18.3 and the Thread network slowly recovered and within a few hours it was back up and fully running again. Has been solid for 24 hours now. 🤞🏼

I will not be updating the HomePod mini until they fix this issue. Better safe than sorry and I don't want to spend another £99 on what is actually old tech (new one imminent) just to correct a bug in tvOS 26.2.
