In case nobody has already noted, Developer Beta 3 is build 15A216g , and This Public Beta initial build is 15A215h -- This new Public Beta 3.10 Build is 15A216g, exactly the same build number as Developer Beta 3!! It's the same one!!

Why does the update show up for me, then? I'm on Developer Preview 3. Oh well, installing it anyways.

Doesn't fix issues where most Java apps freeze upon launch (e.g., CrashPlan).

Yeah noticed this. Crashplan just bounces in the dock.

And AirDrop doesn't work with any of my iOS 9 devices, either. :( Says the files are sent, but the files are nowhere to be found.

Duet Display is still crashing every few minutes.

Duet Display is such crappy software.

I switched to Air Display 3 and it works so much better in every way.

It works wireless OR with wired connection, it's gives you better frame rate, it instantly comes back after wake from sleep, it doesn't constantly turn on "reduce transparency" like Duet.

Air Display 3 does everything better, I'm so mad I bought Duet Display first.

Because although it is called a supplemental update it is really a "Contacts Update". The package that gets installed is called ContactsUpdate.pkg. This applies to both PB1 and DP3. That is why you are seeing it too.

Downloaded El Capitan but have not loaded yet to see what problems other are having. I think I'll wait for the next Beta release.
I am using it. It is pretty good. Only tricky stuff is getting TypeIt4Me and Copy'em Paste onto the Menu Bar. Have done so but not sure about the stability of this. iStat Menu won't appear in the Menu Bar even with the latest version. The nightly build of Little Snitch works and so does all the other programmes I use.

There's a beta of iStat Menus (5.11) for El Capitan. Send Bjango a message and they'll hook you up.

Doesn't fix the USB audio drivers issue I am having with my McIntosh D100 Dac/PreAmp dropping the audio for 1 second every 15 seconds. Am guessing they changed something that is not fully supporting this usb device. It follows USB 2.0 Async standard and the original driver was delivered by Apple not McIntosh (meaning it just worked under Yosemite with no further installs from me). Is there a way to maybe get the full USB driver kit to use with these beta builds? I didn't have this problem demoing Yosemite when it was a public beta.

Anyone else having USB device issues especially as pertains to audio?

I noticed when I told it to Restart El Capitan it is now using a light blue colored popup dialog to confirm instead of the usual grey... or atleast it did once but isn't doing it now for some reason.

I think it is a one-off thing? I also noticed how the Installing Software Update screen has reverted to the old Yosemite style with the App Store icon rather than the new white Apple logo on black screen.

yeah i dunno but i saw the light blue and it didn't look accidental as it was shaded with the ok button etc using complimentary colors to the light blue and it looked really nice and i thought wow finally something other then grey haha.

One thing I think Safari badly needs is a right click menu for bookmarks that lets you open them in a different tab or gives the same right click menu you get with any web link.

Noticed that it used to say OSX Yosemite Version 10.11 Beta before the update, it correctly says OSX El Capitan now. Build stayed the same (15A215h). I'm on the public beta.

Also, I'm on the Public Beta. The update did not raise the build number—still on 15A215h.
Same here, but I think there is something buggy going on in the About screen overall. After installation of the Public Beta on my 2009 Macbook Pro, and a reboot, the About My Mac screen told me I was running Yosemite Beta Version 10.11.

After this supplemental update, it now correctly reads El Capitan beta.
