I went for it — the new control center is a dream come true!

btw so far it seems incredibly stable, and I haven't noticed any difference in battery behavior. But I'll see how today goes.

While I was pretty amazed by public beta 2 I’ve found several glitches with the most recent version (iOS 18 Public Beta 3) on my 15 Pro Max.
-> A whole page of apps has been killed from my home screen setup (just gone, no way to recover)
-> app icons are in dark mode when I open the search from the Home Screen (although system is not in dark mode, of course)
-> button “options” that shows up when editing pages on the Home Screen leads to the focus settings page in system settings

Anyone else experiencing these bugs?
(I’ve already filed reports within the feedback app for all three problems)

Yes, I also was surprised by the dark mode in the search! I assumed it was a feature :)))

I know it's not the iPhone 15PM, but on my M1 iPad Pro 11, pb3 is not exhibiting any of those. In fact, since I installed iPad OS PB3 yesterday, I've only found one small bug. I will put it through its paces today and see if I can find any more.

New PB runs quit well on the M4 iPad, but my Mini6 is literally hot to the touch and looses 1% battery per minute. Regular reset did not help, looks like I have to downgrade

Running iPadOS 18.1 Developers Beta on my M4 iPad Pro. Very impressed with the Apple Intelligence features. I have one question about Math Notes in the Calculator app. I can't get it to go into dark mode. The normal calculator window has a black background, and so does the scientific calculator, but when I select Math Notes the background goes white. Am I missing a setting somewhere or is it a bug?

A few days on public beta 3 and the one glaring issue is Find My is not working at all. I can't see my families devices and they can't see me.

Been on PB3 since release on both M1 iPad Pro 11 and iPhone 13PM, and have found only one bug so far. One of the icons in control center on my iPad Pro does not show. Otherwise PB3 is running really well on both devices. Even the battery life is great on both.

PS. I am not experiencing the Find My glitch on either device and can see both my wife and son, and myself. They can also see me, even though they are not on PB18.

Anyone still listening on this thread, and willing to do a test for me?
In Mail in iOS (17.6.1, and prior), if you reply to a reply in a conversation thread, Mail in iOS stupidly sets the To: address to your own email address (which is the From: of the message being replied to; with the REPLY From: being your own email address, obvs), so you end up replying to yourself, and the other person in the conversation doesn't get the reply.

Normally, yes, Mail should set the To: to the From: of the message being replied to, that is expected behavior; HOWEVER, in this use case, that is not at all what is expected. Clearly I am intending to follow-on to my initial reply in the conversation thread, with the new message intended to go to the other party.

I do this about 10 times a month, it is SUPER annoying. And it usually takes me about three days to figure out that I did it, always when I was in a hurry, responding on my iPhone, when I haven't yet received an response from the other party to something important… realizing——I sent the followup reply to myself and they never got that important follow-up info that I'm expecting/needing a response to.

iPadOS and macOS both work as expected, setting the To: to the email address of the other recipient in the conversation thread.

To recreate:
  1. Have someone send you an email.
  2. REPLY to that email.
  3. Then REPLY to your reply.
  4. Mail should set the To: of the new message to the other person's address.
IF this isn't occurring, please submit Feedback to Apple. And I'll test and do the same.

I've submitted this for every fscking version of iOS for like 4 years. Glad iPadOS doesn't do it… but… getting annoying that it is still occurring on iPhone since that is what I usually am on when I'm in a hurry and need to dash off an email or two to a convo thread to get info quickly. More evidence that no one high up in Apple actually uses iPhone to do 'real' work. (Or, maybe they do… maybe this is why so much stuff gets mucked up! Intended recipients aren't getting follow-on replies and Tim's Sent folder is full of "Subject: Re:…" "From: Tim", "To: Tim" messages!)

UPDATE:
Just downloaded and tested in iOS 18b6/pb4 and it still does it. Looks like this is going to make it into yet another major release. Sigh.
