So I got official 13.2 on both my XS and iPad Pro despite
The update restores the 5.1 sound to my Sonos system. It was just using a 2.1 signal for the last few weeks. I could manually change to the 5.1 setup but the 'auto' wasn't working. Other than that issue, 13.2 is working smoothly.

Were you on the 13.2 betas, or is this your first 13.2 update (I'm trying to determine if I have the latest release on my 4K)?

No betas for me. My ATV4K is my only source of TV and other content. I was running the 13.0 release with no other issues than the sound to the Sonos.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I was stupid and got my ATV4K on the beta train and have been having issues AirPlaying to my HomePods since.

I have to humbly disagree with the previous poster.
Yeah, I am not sure why they have an issue with posting issues that a user has encountered.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with using Apple's feedback page to report problems, but there also isn't anything wrong with posting issues on the MR forum.

I personally like when people post issues they are having, this tends to influence when I update my software. I didn't use to be that way, but after iOS 9 turned my iPad Mini 2 unusable, I have been cautious with Apple's updates.

Speaking of which, I could have sworn I had auto-updates turned off on both my ATV4 and ATV4k, but they both upgraded themselves to tvOS 13.

Submitting ‘Feedback’ to Apple is like screaming into the void.
I’ve submitted specific and reproducible bug reports to Apple, but they haven’t been fixed, even years later.
I have made many requests on their feedback page, and Apple rarely ever uses them.

Still waiting for Safari on tvOS, Apple!

AppleTV is probably the buggiest software I’m stuck using on a daily basis.

I think CarPlay is their buggiest, but when tvOS first launch, it was a close second.

I think it has gotten better over the years with each tvOS version, until tvOS 13. It is a step backwards.
TvOS just gets worse and worse with each update. Tempted to go with the new Nvidia shield pro.
This hasn't been my experience with tvOS.

It used to be crazy buggy for me, especially at the ATV4 launch. So buggy that my wife asked me to put an ATV3 back on our main TV because she preferred it much more.

Well, it wasn't just the bugs, but also the Netflix app is better better on the ATV3 than for tvOS.

But for the bugs, it seemed like each tvOS version would fix a lot of bugs while introducing a few new ones. It would get better with each update, until tvOS 13.

It's really strange that after EVERY tvOS update I have to reboot my AppleTV manually to fix a lag where the menu button would behave very unresponsively (it takes about a second to go back). After the reboot the lag is gone.

Also strange that after tvOS 13.2 the AppleTV just logged me in with the 2nd profile instead of my own.

Really hope tvOS 13.2 improves the performance because since tvOS 13 I notice some stuttering here and there whereas tvOS 12 was very smooth.

ive experience the exact same issues on my ATv4 (non 4K): janky Menu button action, delayed backing out of a screen or app to home. Extended delay to goto sleep (previous to TVOS 13/12.4 it took 3 seconds, 7seconds). I barely have any 3rd party apps.
I’m still trying to see the definitive difference in action between AppleTV app vs AppleTV+ beyond the movies they’re advertising. Like where is my AppleTV to culminate all movies I’ve purchased on iTunes(?) now I have to go into Movies.

I avoid Apple TV betas. I turned that on a couple of years ago, then promptly forgot that I had done that. I experienced lots of weird bugs. “what did he say” Siri just stopped working. Video glitches galore. Volume control over HDMI to my receiver would randomly stop working. All this culminated in the box downloading something constantly for about a month. I finally noticed by watching real-time bandwidth usage on my Ubiquiti WiFi app. Ended up eating about 1.2 TB of bandwidth overage from Comcast at $10 per 50 GB. $240! So no more betas for me.
