Appreciate the suggestion there, I thought the same thing so I ran the Apple TV hdmi test and it said all was good but do you happen to know if that’s not always reliable? You probably have a dodgy HDMI cable or port somewhere in the signal path.

I rather have them separate so all the moaning for that one update stays there.I think one of the things I don't like about this forum is MacRumors spams itself for the most part. On Update day, just one news story would suffice. It seems like this site has at least 7 articles a day and I think only about 3 or 4 really are that important.
I prefer the separate articles. Due to Apple's history of occasionally bricking devices, I appreciate jumping in and tracking different threads for different devices. I can easily monitor the comments per-device and alerts, if any, and know when my comfort level has been met. I credit MacRumors and MR readers (and posters) for the fact I still have operational HomePods. (and some delayed iOS updates as well). Now get posting so I know when it's safe to update!I really wish MacRumors would just put out one article about software updates. Just come out and say apple released updates to MacOS, iOs, iPadOS, WatchOS, TVOS, and list the updates for each in that one article and be done with it. Instead we get 5 articles with almost IDENTICAL wording from the last update article; just change the release number and list of fixes.

There really is an art to getting the settings correct. When I first got my Apple TV I wasn’t getting the Dolby Digital stuff. Found a YouTube channel for some folks in the UK that had a great explainer. I was not aware that the actual Home Screen is only SDR vs HDR.I used to have occasional stuttering issues, until I went into Settings -> Video and enabled "Match Rate".
This tells the Apple TV to send the signal to your TV at the rate it is encoded at. So for 24FPS movie content, it gets sent at 24FPS.
After doing this, 24FPS content got much smoother with zero stuttering.
It happened to me specially with the first episode on the new season of Tehran. The audio was so off it was unwatchable. The second episode was fine, but interestingly the recap from the first episode at the beginning was still out of sync. Here you go. It is quite annoying. I wonder if iOS 16 Beta fixes it.

Is the device storage full? Had something like that once. Had to delete some stuff then it worked fine.Anyone know how to fix a 4th Gen ATV update problem? I can download the FW update, it tells me it's preparing the update. It reboots to update the firmware but the screen just goes blank with a signal. The power LED flashes and stays that way until I pull the AC plug. Then the ATV comes back to the previous uninstalled state with everything intact. The only way to do a FW update is to plug into my Mac and do a FW Restore within Finder.
I have no idea when this started with tvOS 15 or what is causing it to fail doing updates.
Have this issue with Sling Tv it’s so annoying. Built in apps on my TV are better then the ATV. Very disappointed in the picture quality/judder.Anyone know how to fix the Micro-Stutter issue when watching Disney Plus content?
What if you swap the cable ends around?Really hope this fixes the intermittent screen black outs I’ve been getting lately. It’s like every 20 mins I lose picture and sound for a second or two. Tried unplugging, didn’t fix. Anyone else?

I fixed a few video problems with a new good quality HDMI cableYou probably have a dodgy HDMI cable or port somewhere in the signal path.
What do you mean by this?If only Apple TVs supported Filmmaker Mode for LG TVs would be nice.
All that does is check to see if your cable and port support high bandwidth so the ATV can set the correct Chroma values.Appreciate the suggestion there, I thought the same thing so I ran the Apple TV hdmi test and it said all was good but do you happen to know if that’s not always reliable?
No, that's the weird thing. It's the 64GB HD and I have about 55GB free. Yesterday I had to plug into my 2018 Mini to do a restore so I could update the FW. It happened all of a sudden. Is the device storage full? Had something like that once. Had to delete some stuff then it worked fine.
