May I ask, with no intent to be disrespectful.

Firstly are you a biased Apple fan? If by chance not, have you gotten any VR fatigue or is it still very exciting and enjoyable to use? Thank you and hope you’re doing well!
I don't consider myself a heavily biased apple fan, and I used a Valve Index for a while with little fatigue.

The Vision Pro is not especially fatiguing, but really its only job is to give me a super large monitor wherever I am. Nothing about it is particularly exciting at this time, but apps and software updates will carry this thing a long way as they come.

I would've returned if I could but received mine outside of US and outside of return window.

Could someone please check if the VisionOS AppStore is down?
I had a very brief internet outage a few minutes ago, and now it says:

Cannot Connect
Something went wrong. Please try again.
[Retry]

The frontend for Apple Arcade works, I’m able to update apps by going to my Profile. But the Frontend for the VisionOS is not working.

EDIT:
It wasn’t the Vision Pro, because even after restarting it, it wouldn’t work.
I found out there was a long Spectrum outage in Florida, perhaps that may have something to do with it; an outage affecting multiple areas. It just came back on its own.

I definitely bought multiple movies through iTunes and don’t have them in 3D. Dr. Strange and Coco come to mind immediately that I know I bought from the iTunes app directly on my iPhone and only have in 2D.
Did you by any chance purchase the SD version and not the HD version?

did that happen for you just with the update? been the story for me since I got the thing. its my biggest issue.

For whatever reason all of the movies I bought from Apple showed up for me with the 3D versions available from day one of owning the device (which I got the day after launch day) with the exception of two titles. Dr. Strange and Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. In talking with Apple we were able to determine that the reason that Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice wasn’t showing up as being available in 3D is because I bought the extended edition of the film and no 3D version of that version exists, just a 3D version of the theatrical release. They couldn’t explain Dr. Strange through. I bought Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice sight unseen and would have rented instead of buying it if I’d known how blah I was going to find it but I loved Dr. Strange. Support told me it’s a library labeling issue and that even though Dr. Strange appears to have a 3D edition available that they really don’t. I’m not sure I buy that explanation and if anybody out there has bought or rented Dr. Strange from Apple and was able to watch it in 3D from Apple please let me know. I do have a Disney+ subscription and can watch the 3D version in that but unless I stream it from that app I can’t access the 3D version that the AppleTV+ store says is there. It doesn’t show up in the 3D tab in the Vision Pro like all of my other titles do that have 3D versions available.

I was hoping this release might address that but I’m still seeing the same thing. I’ve also had the issue of having to recalibrate my eyes on the device every so often since the last release and hope that is fixed as well. Previously I only had to do it after after taking my optical inserts out and using the device or vice versa. Now even if I leave the inserts out or leave them in after a day or two if I don’t recalibrate I won’t be able to look at and bring the focus to certain UI elements that I want to select. Sometimes I can’t do it at all and other times it just becomes a PITA to do it until I recalibrate. Part of the issue was I wasn’t pulling down the Vision Pro far enough down my face and was ignoring the warnings to do so or just doing it for a second or two to get the warning to go away so stopping that and actually pulling it down and keeping it there has helped a lot but it’s not totally fixed it. I was on day 4 of not having to recalibrate until I installed this update and after doing so I had to recalibrate it again to get things fully selectable again. We’ll see if this release addresses that issue after just doing the recalibration with this new release.

You are concerned about AirPods and not the Vision Pro? Haha

I think it’s likely that people (stupidly) wear AirPods when driving. When it comes to wearing a Vision behind the wheel? That’s beyond stupid and extends into genuinely idiotic. Anyone who does that is basically asking for a sentence for vehicular homicide or a short trip to a six foot deep hole.

I am very excited for the Canadian release. I want it now please… I guess the longer it takes to come to Canada the more updates there will be available.

Having to wait might not turn out to have been a bad thing. The general consensus among the users I interact with, which includes some users who post in the Vision Pro forums here, is that visionOS v1.1 was the OS that probably should have shipped with the device when it was first released to the public so giving them some additional time to put out the first update for v1.1 prior making it available in other countries means you’ll be getting a better product with fewer issues than what we early adopters here had to deal with while still getting it early enough that you’ll be an early adopter yourself as well.

Also, the more expensive it will be, unfortunately, or at last a the moment due to poor exchange rates. We are probably pushing nearly $5K now.

YES i’m wearing it from at least 6 to 12 hours a day ! visionOS has replaced macOS & iOS I barely have time to use tvOS now it feel like a waste except when my girlfriend is here

It’s exciting & enjoyable to use just like I’m doing all the information consumption on macOS /entertainment on the tvOS

For me Vision Pro is a dream come true ,it’s like taking one big step into cyberpunk with the visionOS

now I can finally enjoy my self with all my information consumption podcast / music / stock apps / HBO MAX / peacock / browsing on SSENSE for my nice clothing / art / FaceTime / texting , all In apple ecosystem visionOS !

i recently really enjoyed a article on National Geographic magazine on Apple News + talking about the vanished Maya empire ,
I just stretch out the screen to IMAX size to fully indulge in those nice photos of these long lost treasures !

Next I’m taking the Apple Vision Pro to Kyoto Japan to take all these 3D photo & video , HELL YEAH it’s more than just a spatial computer I barely touch my phone & Mac now !

Btw , I kinda enjoy using it the mixed reality way like using Apple TV with visionOS now ……

the eye tracking is supreme ….

I don’t know how much calculation going on the background to get that 99% hit rate on all those floating screen and all these layers of windows floating …. It’s just so smooth and intuitive… it just works ….

I especially love how apple go out of the way to insist on design ,one single piece of beautiful aluminum stuffed all that ultra hardware in ???!!!!

And it’s literally the only headset on the market letting you to socialize normally with eyesight without looking like a 6 eye freaky robot ( I found that the eyesight showing my girlfriend’s eye like a bit of animate / dystopian style it’s kinda cute lol )

Only thing bad is the apple immersion content is lacking , feels like even apple themselves have hold back & want to cut loss like Sony did to PSVR 2 / Dyson did to Dyson zone , you have money to burn then burn it and compete with meta don’t just half ass it !

it does feels odd there’s only one episode of each series immersive content tho

, at least make a Taylor swift immersion episode, Or linkin park or something Alicia key just don’t have the hype Taylor does lol

Or maybe an Apple Music radio station with immersion content ?

I wish apple would put in 25% resource & effort they spend on film & tv shows

I may be crazy, but I am considering not updating. Does anybody know if there is a team working on a jailbreak?

I worry that development on AVP will be extremely slow, and that unless there is a jailbreak, it’s true potential will not be seen for years.

Meta adds new features to their headsets on a near-monthly basis (and sideloading). I don’t want AVP to feel like the first several years of iOS, where Apple took their time to add essential features — and made every WWDC feel like a Christmas where you’re hoping for things you’ve wanted for years.
My rule of thumb a to never buy products for what you think they could be.

9 times out of 10 you will end up dissapointed.

If a product has known flaws or bugs, buy the product with the acceptance that they will not be resolved.

Where live driving with AirPods is illegal.

Why are you asking that question? Lots of us are.
Just cause it got so quiet and I can’t really see the use cases still. Being in Germany where we don’t have it yet it was an honest question.

From what ive seen, sideloading works the same on AVP, developer account plus a computer. Search for devs with projects in Test Flight.

Thanks. Given that the sales numbers are so low most of the initial purchasers have had their questions answered. Likely will be a new influx of questions when new markets open.

Use cases are very user specific. Here are some of mine:

Hours daily. I am continually amazed at the technology in the VP and how they have implemented it. It has its flaws (weight, glare) but for me they are insignificant compared to the pluses. When you moving out of an immersive environment it starts coming back at your lap first so you can see things like a keyboard.

1. Travel to Zimbabwe, Machu Picchu, Foz do Iguaçu without leaving your chair using the share spatial app. It gives you 90% of the visual experience for those who can't actually go there.

2. Use a 6 foot monitor from your mac

3. Play lossless music from your AirPods Pro 2 with the album cover inches from your face. Much more enjoyable.

4. Run a "Mindfullness" or other mediation app to help relax and sleep. Take a snooze by a running creek in an Oregon winter scene. See the results of the mediation if you have an Apple Watch.

5. Watch a 3D concert where the singer swings her hair in your face with AmazeVR concerts, although it is a bit creepy.

6. Explore the constellations. Grab one out of the night sky to know more about it with SkyGuide

7. Checkout which flights are landing at an airport in 3D with their plane type, where they came from, etc. with testflight

8. Explore extinct creatures with David Attenborough. Watch them in 3D in their native environment.

9. Convert your old photos into 3D ones with Spacial Media Toolkit. Just a start but shows what can be done.

10. Explore the Mars lander in 3D. Grab a part and see what it does with Exploring Mars.

11. Travel to a museum for a close look at the Mona Lisa with Art Authority museum. Explore contemporary artists with Art Universe.

12. Not a gamer but occasionally play Legos in 3D or place parts on a music store

13. Movies, some in 3D, of course with Apple TV and Disney Plus. Much better than going to the theater. No fuzzy screen, better sound.

And this is just the start. More great stuff is coming.

Things to look for once VP is available in your market.

I wouldn’t go walking outside with this on and dont move too much even in my house there’s still some latency and weirdness in the camera. You’re looking through a camera if the
Cable disconnects or it crashes you will be blind and scrambling to take it off. This is about the same as driving blindfolded. I genuinely have contempt for those who seek to endanger others with this behavior.

I'm personally on my 3rd week here and not any light use, I'm in it 6-9 hours a day. I've taken to working all day with my Mac connected as a virtual display, so long spells coding and writing. Then some entertainment in the evening.

I think you're going to get a slightly different answer from everyone because the weight and pressure on your face is really individual depending on your fitness, neck strength, vision struggles (I have short and long sighted vision correction).

I'm pleased to say that I can see myself continuing to use as heavily as I have been – was certainly worried with both the expense and the hope and joy for integrating the tech into my life!

But there's no denying:
- you are constantly are aware of the weight and pressure on your face and neck (I tend to prefer to solo knit band most of the time, but switch around). I get a bit of neck fatigue but I'm countering that with more stretching, yoga, breaks.
- the lens inserts are single vision (makes sense what with windows being everywhere). So I think the most eye fatigue I probably get is when I try to adjust to the blurrier pass through. The windows themselves are remarkably clearer every where, every distance I put them and even with my constant head movements, and no glare on them when used outside where I could NEVER use a laptop screen. In this regard I feel the eye fatigue is less than my external displays and prescription computer eyeglasses.

Yes. I calibrated when I bought it and it worked perfect for six weeks until sometime after 1.1. In that time, I tried multiple different sizes and had it on my face different ways and it still didn’t matter. After one. One I had to recalibrate it almost daily for no apparent reason.
