Apple today released the release candidate version of an upcoming visionOS 1.3 update to developers, allowing them to test new features ahead of the software seeing a public launch. The visionOS 1.3 RC comes a week after the release of the fourth beta, and it is the final version of visionOS that Apple will release to the public.

The visionOS beta can be downloaded by going to the Settings app on the device and toggling on developer betas. A registered developer account is required, and Apple recommends making a backup before installing new software.

Apple may make further improvements to Personas, EyeSight, and other features with visionOS 1.3, as well as implement additional bug fixes. No new features have been found in the visionOS 1.3 beta so far.

Is anyone running this? I’m not brave enough to try os2, just wondering if it will fix some of the bugs I’m experiencing.

What even is in 1.3? I feel like everyone moved to 2 and it's no more buggy than 1.2. Seems silly to release versions in between that add nothing.

I just read the release notes for the latest os2 beta, seems to be quite a lot of known issues?

I don't have any major issues other than it resets itself sometimes when using safari but like a real quick reset where the apple logo just appears and then youre back in. its words better to watch movies in now with all the variety of ways to do so

Branch-based development allows the developers to simultaneously keep Vision OS 1.x and 2.x in sync. New features that are only intended for 2.x are in a separate branch that builds on top of the core. So this is about keeping the 1.x core updated with the latest changes as development moves forward. It's not like they are writing the same code twice.

I use mine daily for work, so if it breaks something it would be a problem for me.
