Could just be me, the app icons are larger on the AWU2 after the update? I haven't changed anything in the settings.

It's the 10th anniversary of the watch. Can we come up with a way to streamline the process?
Agreed. I can’t rely on auto update, since I don’t charge my watch overnight, and keep my iPhone Wi-Fi off. Knowing that there’s likely a dot one update coming soon makes the manual process feel even slower.

Every time there's an update, I check to see if Apple's finally included a watch-face that's better than the Snoopy watch-face, and every update I see the answer is no.

The Snoopy + Woodstock combo is unbeatable. Not even the Hermès ones can compare.

Of course it does, why would you think it wouldn’t. The misinformation, disinformation, and FUD is rampant on this issue.
I didn’t think it wouldn’t, hence I updated. I was posting to alleviate any concerns and to counter the misinfomation.

I guess the benefit of only having a series 8 is when I update, nothing will really change. Also, the update went pretty quick today, which surprised me.

I usually update my phone, computer, and watch at the same time since Apple tends to release updates for them all on the same day. Won’t be updating the AWU2 this time. Don’t trust Apple on it this time.
Why would what series you have make any difference at all….

Maybe I'm not understanding what feature is causing the apple watch ban of the series 9 and Ultra. I was saying I had the Series 8 because they were not impacted by the Watch ban because it didn't have that feature. I did check and it does have the blood oxygen, but maybe I'm confused on what the feature is that is causing the dispute.

Did they fix the 24-hour time bug in the Weather app?

I think I'm going to hold off on this one for a bit, I feel like Apple just kind of sorted out the battery issues on watchOS 10.2 on my AW6. Its got me thinking about the AWU2, except for the price tag...
I think the smaller battery in apple watch makes it extra critical they get the efficiency of the software right as those processors are pretty powerful for a watch.

Why are you trying to spread misinformation and FUD about this? It has been made perfectly clear that watches sold before 1/18/2024 will continue to have O2 functionality.

Because what he is saying isn't FUD. The issue is that Apple is using SOFTWARE to control the functionality, and the code for it does a check on the model number. If the model number matches, the O2 functionality is disabled. That means that with any subsequent update, Apple could enable or disable it altogether, and potentially for any model they include:

Apple’s US website has been updated to explain that “Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 no longer include the Blood Oxygen feature.” We later discovered that the revised models without the feature have part numbers ending in “LW/A.” But is Apple really shipping new hardware without the blood oxygen sensor?

Apparently not. 9to5Mac found out that Apple remotely updated a system file responsible for managing the availability of health features by region. The update disables the blood oxygen feature for any Apple Watch models with the identifier “LW/A,” which probably means that Apple could reverse this in the future.

So no, it isn't FUD; if the Series 9 and U2s match that identifier, they could potentially have their O2 functionality disabled in upcoming WatchOS releases. Thankfully that hasn't happened yet, which is what the worry was for THIS RELEASE.

It is FUD.
For one, there is no legal requirement for Apple to do so, ban only impacts sales after Jan 18.
Second, IF Apple were to disable the functionality on their own, they’d remove an advertised feature and there would lawsuit after lawsuit, and even more upset users.

So, dies Apple have the capability to do that? Sure. Will say? Not without a legal requirement
