Apple today released watchOS 11.3.1, a minor update to the operating system that runs on the Apple Watch. watchOS 11.3.1 is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 6 and later, all Apple Watch Ultra models, and the Apple Watch SE 2.

watchOS 11.3.1 can be downloaded by opening up the Apple Watch app and going to General > Software Update. To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50 percent battery and it needs to be placed on a charger.

The watchOS 11.3.1 update includes important security updates, and it is recommended for all Apple Watch owners.

More of the features available in watchOS 11 can be found in our watchOS 11 roundup.

Why doesn't Apple release updates for watchOS 10? Bug fixes, security updates etc?

Anyone noticing any bugs being fixed on their Apple watches?
I had one fixed, I can't remember whether the bug started on WatchOS 10 or 11.
On the metropolitan watch face, with the activity complication in the bottom right (I don't know if location mattered), when tapping the complication to open the activity app, the crown would still scroll the watch face (often changing the size of the numbers when I went back to it), and would not work on the activity app. I could only scroll the app using my finger, or open it from the app list.
That's finally been fixed, although I stopped using that watch face because of it.

That's good to know.

Tell me it brings O2 sensing back to the US for new watches.
I don’t understand how every other manufacturer out there has O2 sensing except Apple. Are they really going to wait until Masimo’s patent expires instead of creating their own tech?
