Me too. I haven't updated my iPhone to iOS 18 yet, so I'm trying to update my Ultra directly. It searches for updates for a bit, then this error every time.mine just says an error occurred when checking for update
yep my Ultra 2 updated after I updated to iOS 18. I wish Apple would figure out a way to get the updates to a smaller file size. It was on iOS 18 at over 8 GB for iPhone 15 Pro and over a 1 GB on the Ultra 2.Me too. I haven't updated my iPhone to iOS 18 yet, so I'm trying to update my Ultra directly. It searches for updates for a bit, then this error every time.
UPDATE: OK, it seems that if you have an iPhone paired to your Apple Watch, you MUST first install iOS 18.
not as bad as the one year old iPhone 15 not receiving Apple IntelligenceVery uncool of them to cut off SE 1 support prematurely with watchOS 11. It only had 4 years of support.
Yeah, it's dumb. Apple has been skimping on RAM in their devices for years now while Android has had way more.not as bad as the one year old iPhone 15 not receiving Apple Intelligence
I had this issues on the update screen you have to swipe up from the bottom of screen and you’ll see iOS 18 hiding down there, hope this helpsIt’s asked me to update to 17.7 on both my 15 pro max and m1 iPad
Yeah. That’s worse. And RAM is literally the only factor holding back the phone from using AI. It’s why all the new iPhone 16s have 8 GB of RAM, even the non-Pro phones.not as bad as the one year old iPhone 15 not receiving Apple Intelligence
Yes.Will installing Watch OS 11 remove the blood oxygen measurement that I still have on my year-old Ultra 2?
iRizz you might want to check on that, I believe you are incorrect there.Yes.
Just like the updates since you bought it in late 2023 have not affected it, the v11 update will not affect it either. Will installing Watch OS 11 remove the blood oxygen measurement that I still have on my year-old Ultra 2?
You're right. Just double checked. They just can't sell any new devices with that feature unless they come to some sort of agreement with the company they stole it from.iRizz you might want to check on that.
Only the new devices sold (so 2024 Series 9's and ultra 2's and beyond, believe it started in early 2024) have the sensor disabled, everyone else gets to keep using theirs (including Series 9's and Ultra 2's sold in 2023). WatchOS updates don't affect this from what I understand.
I upgraded as soon as WatchOS 11 released and normally, my large series 7 watch only dips to about 75% battery over 8 hours of sleep, if I slap it on close to bedtime. I took this thing off the charger at 100% 2-3 hours ago and I am at 79%! I normally NEVER have to do a mid-day boosting charge! What's the build number? Same as the RC last week (22R349)?
Bc battery life on my Ultra is still 🚮 on the RC like it has been all throughout the betas
My understanding of the lawsuit is that if the sensor was enabled at time of purchase, it can remain enabled even in the US.Happy to report that updating my year-old Apple Watch Ultra 2 to Watch OS 11 has *not* removed the “Blood Oxygen” app.
