Apple Releases watchOS 26.1 With Bug Fixes

I hope this dramatically improves battery life and fixes texts showing only replies and showing them out of order. 26.0 absolutely decimated my series 9.

I have the same issue with text message ordering (AWU2). I hope this update fixes this issue…

1.4GB on my Ultra 2 ... download int watch now while iPhone is in upgrade mode ... in other words, initiated the download on the watch while iPhone is in "boot mode, or install mode" and thus not connected to anything, much faster than using the method mentioned in the article.

Apple needs to bring “slide to stop” to alarms and timers in watchOS, especially the Sleep alarm.

Didn’t know it was possible to update watchOS directly from the Apple Watch 🤔 I always did it via the Watch app on the iPhone.


By the way: is there any way to switch the glass transparency off also on the Apple Watch like on the iPhone and iPad ?

thats so crazy.. i think it took about 5 mins for me to download it to the watch app on my iphone and then 10 mins to verify it and sub 10 to install it on an AWU2

UPDATE: Ended up having to do a factory reset since was stuck on the install screen

so total time to install update + reset + charge back to 100% was 5 hours & 2 minutes 🙃
