Apple Releases watchOS 8.1.1 With Fix for Apple Watch Series 7 Charging Issue

I have the same problem. Happened quite a few times. The most recent was last night. Woke up with 10% left!
 
my S7 SS Cellular will sometimes charge up to 60% or so and stop then start to drain, all while still on the charger. Does anyone else’s do that and is that what this is update addresses?
 
I had this issue only once with my S7 (Nike, GPS only). It charged as slow as my S0 even with my fast charger. Strange software issue I guess. No update for my watch though. Speaking of weird software bug mine had its haptic not working for some reason twice already. A restart always fixes that but still kinda annoying and had actually made my alarm failed to tap to wake me up lol.

Yeah similar experiences here. 8.1 hasn’t been good hopefully 8.3 isn’t too far off anymore
 
This hasn't fixed my charging issue on the new rapid-charging puck—but I think it's charging normally on the older puck. Will need to do some more testing, as the charging issue is intermittent.
 
I would come home every night from working my ten-to-twelve hour shift in the ER to my Apple Watch being around 55-60% before installing this update. Last noc I came home and my Apple Watch was at 75%. -25% in 12 hours?! Hot damn I’ll take it! Well done, Apple.

I have had the haptic fail on my S7 (GPS+Cellular) 2 or 3 times as well. Restart always fixes; also had the watch fail to wake me up.
 
The issue definitely wasn't fixed by the update.

I had my Watch on the fast-charge puck for two solid hours and it barely charged—maybe 2%.

The good news is that Apple knows this is an issue—the bad news is that their first stab at a fix flopped.

Has anyone's issue actually been solved by this?

I thought it had resolved it for me but over the last 2 nights it has only charged up to 40 or 60% then started to drain. Taking it off the charger and putting it back on completes the charge. So no it’s not fixed.

Ive been charging it with a MagSafe duo. Does anyone else get this issue with that charger? I know the MagSafe duo has an updatable firmware which means there are fixes available for it, but you need a mac to update it and I’m a PC/iPad pro guy lol.
