We demand that devices do more and more with every release, creating a need for a constant accumulation/increase in code in order to accommodate all those capabilities, and then at the same time people expect near perfection and complain about minute issues?

Some people just can't be happy without something to whine about.

Excuse me, sir. Apple user from the 80´s. Maybe you don´t know, but not many years ago a Mac Os X version lasted even 4 years. Just a one year cycle is absurd.

They have more than enough resourses to not launch official releases when they are in fact betas.
Its not about resources, its about finalizing the hardware to get it manufactured, knowing that they won't ship for many weeks/months, and of course they will find bugs between then.

Hopefully it gets the extreme athelete hand washing app cleaned up just in time.

Did you get yours early and been dealing with bugs? And if you were lucky enough to get it early, wouldn’t you be happy for an update?

It’s like getting upset when ordering a LEGO set and it doesn’t come completed. I hate when things don’t work perfect right out of the box.

Bad analogy.

Better analogy is you purchasing a Lego set online, the manufacturer realizing they forgot to include a piece, so they next day air you the piece so you receive a properly working product.

Perfect analogy. Will you be my ghost writer?

Just kidding. But you did know where I was going with it. Was just making a point.

👊😝👍

You don’t want to know how many patches were created during development… the ability to write perfect code the first time is impossible

Indeed. 100.0% perfection 100.0% of the time does not exist. Well, maybe... if you stop breathing you will die.

People expecting that level of perfection with complex hardware and software, over many millions of users over a huge number of use scenarios, is truly bewildering.

People demanding that smacks of being severely disconnected to the real world.

Is this update only for the new Apple Watch or all Apple Watches running the latest watchOS?

Someone else has more wealth than you. Get over it.

For all you know, they’re rocking a 5 year old series 3, a6 year old iPhone 7, and never had AirPods. That’s far from gluttony
Given the purchase is a pro max and ultra and new high end airpods I highly doubt that individual has old stuff and probably is part of the “always gotta upgrade every year” group

Yeah I’m pumped.
I hope my watch arrives early in the morning. It's too bad, you can't use the watches GPS to track it on the way to your house.
I was pretty excited to get my 13 Pro but it’s been a while since I was this excited. It’s the first cellular watch for me, a new design, and rugged style which I’ve been wanting for a while.

That’s a lot of assumptions. Life must be miserable for you with that outlook.
