Thank god! New emoji. Glad to Apple so many useful new features.

Guess a lot of people like the emoji updates or they wouldn’t add them huh?

Regardless I don’t get why people think they’re going to get a brand new amazing feature rich update every release. I’m sure folks would bitch about that too somehow.

I have the watch on the Charger and it's still saying paused.

Apple needs to make updating the watch a little more simplistic because this is dumb.

Reboot the watch and it will start the update.

I got it updated and I actually did do that. I'm just surprised it took as long as it did.

Did seem to be the longest install I have seen. Half hour to download on my iphone, then better part of hour to process, and then have to be there to see the need to press update and input my code. So like most here on my new Ultra it took better part of two hours. I assumed ultra would have been faster?

yes indeed, have been doing my watchOS updates via iPhone since my S0 and the process sucks, it works but you have to set 1-2 hrs aside to complete it, just done my Ultra this afternoon.
I hadn't upgraded my S7 (wearing it for sleep) since 9.2 or so (as I have always used upgrade through iPhone) and as I was reading through the posts here, I unlocked the S7 by entering my passcode, go to Settings, Upgrade, hit install, had to re-enter passcode and it completed the update within like 10 min - Wow.
Going forward, I will update watchOS through the AW itself, not the iPhone anymore.
