Apple needs to do a better job with music management on WatchOS or using iPhone to manage the contents. The Music "tab" within the Watch App itself has been broken for multiple versions. Unless you check "Recent Music" you're left without being able to add new music to the Watch. Managing music on the watch itself is a royal PITA. Just let me drop right to Watch from Apple Music on macOS or iPhone.
Spotify integrates soooo much better on the watch. Managing music on the watch is such a pain.

next time try to install from the watch itself, settings, general, software update - much, much faster
This is because Apple Watch defaults to prioritizing Bluetooth over Wi-Fi whenever possible in order to conserve as much power as possible.

So your phone downloads the latest watchOS update and sends the installer wirelessly to your wrist via Bluetooth, a much slower process.
How is it faster? You still need to place it on a charger, even with 100% battery 🤦‍♂️

For me it works by creating a single dedicated playlist for the AW, and on the iPhone I choose that one to be synced. Whenever the playlist is updated it will eventually (on the charger, overnight, takes multiple hours) end up on the AW. I am reliably syncing over 1k songs and found it to be the only way to guarantee the AW updates correctly.

Success! Apple Watch Ultra Updated! Finally.

The Now Playing screen doesn’t pop up anymore even though it’s turned on whenever media is being played.

Thank you for mentioning this. I had searched to see if there was a setting that got turned off after one of the former updates, because I'd noticed that behavior as well. I really liked being able to quickly control the music playing on my iPhone by having the Music control screen right there on the watch with the flip of a wrist. I tried toggling that Auto-Launch Audio Apps off and then back on, but that did not fix it, nor reboots.

Maybe we can hope that watchOS 10 can finally remember what language is associated with which contact. But who am I kidding, you surely need an M series processors for such an intensive and difficult task like this.

FYI @3rdiguy

Are you seeing this new with 9.5?

Several of us had been complaining that Now Playing on the Watch was broken since 9.4. It would not pop up when audio from the phone started playing. For me, 9.5 seems to have fixed this.

It does seem to be fixed now! I've had several opportunities to test it. I find it super useful, so I'm happy it's back to working as before.

Seriously Apple, stop with the watch faces and emojis and instead fix bugs.
I doubt that the people doing watch faces and emojis are the ones who could work on bugs. It’s hard to find enough developers, even with the recent layoffs.

I am happy that they fixed the Now Playing bug in this release. Of course they only broke it in 9.4 so the bar was not high.

Has anyone else had problems with multipoint Bluetooth since updating to 9.5? My Jabra elite 7 active seem to want to disconnect from my phone when connected to Apple Watch. This wasn’t a problem previously.

Instead of useless watch faces Apple should concentrate to fix now playing not showing up (from iPhone) that it broke it after previous update….pffffff
Haha, yup, agree 100%. It looks like Now Playing has been fixed w/ this release.

Hadn't upgrade my watch from 9.4, battery life was terrible. All is good again on 9.5. Old school series 4.
