That would explain why my Xcode download timed out last night after getting up to ~3GB.
Fricken Apple doesn't understand the concept of bandwidth caps :(

Especially the bandwidth caps down in Middle Earth…

Jealous. $80 in NZ might get you 30GB if you're lucky.

Slingshot - All you can eat. Got in it while I could, speeds aren't bad. You should stop getting you internet from telecom. :p

I think we all need to remember that this is just some sort of App Store preview, backported into the current OS. In Loin, it'll be more integrated than it is now, and as such, will likely be much smarter.

Additionally, I fairly sure that the people who wrote the App Store app are using Xcode, and are quite aware of this issue. So, you gotta know that this is a known issue for them as well. They won't fix it, because it'll be fixed in Lion.

Yes, it's confusing. Go to App Store, Purchases, Xcode, then click INSTALL. That won't actually install the product, but is going to put "Install Xcode" into your Applications folder. You launch it, and that installs the new version.
Thanks for this. I finished downloading the 4.0.2 update from the App Store and launched Xcode and it still claimed to be running version 4.0. Didn't know what was going on there!

Hi,

Hmm.. same here, downloaded from the App Store, installed, checked the "About Xcode" --> XCode Version 4.0 Build 4A304a

Anyone have the same issue?

Update:

didn't read cppguy post earlier... found the update on the Application folder, run the install, then only the new version installed. XCode Version 4.0.2 Build 4A2002a

Thank you

best regards
