Yes, os9 and osX are completely different operating systems while MacOS is a modified version of osX.

Nice of them. They’re really pushing this Dark Mode feature forward, and would be nice to see most of the apps support it.

I love how Apple implemented dark mode ... it’s a system call for colours which will adjust on systems best choices for peak colour and contrast !!

No. In the iOS and iPadOS betas, apps that use a dark theme by default (clock, compass, etc.) stay dark in both dark mode and light mode.
