Hi all,

Maybe this has been discussed but i can't seems to use the correct keyword to search in the forum.

Anyways, i've a Altec Lansing MX 5021 speakers. Whenever i'm using Front row with apple remote to select songs to play, the down key will lower my volume of MX 5021, probably because the infra-red instruction is the same for both devices.

Is there any way to solve this? This is irritating whenever i want to use front row to play songs and yet by selecting the songs using the down key, it changes my speakers volume.

Hope to have a workaround for this.

Thanks 🙂

Apply some duck tape to the IR sensor on the speakers 🙂

You can adjust the volume to your Mac from the apple remote anyway, so don't be lazy!

Hmm.. I tried to use masking tape to tape around the MX 5021 IR censor but it still seems to receive signal from the apple remote 😛

Anyays, i hope to have a solution by not taping the censor (it makes it ugly 🙁 )
