Apple Remote App does not support AT4!?!?

is this for real? I have tried everything and cannot control my Apple TV 4 via the Apple remote app that is on my phone and Watch.

I always use both my Watch and iPhone to control Apple TV but cannot use them with new Apple TV.

Anyone else think this is terrible? Glad I have my old Apple TVs still...

I really cannot believe it...have they said if there is an update coming that will allow for the app to work again? Man...

I feel your pain. My gut feeling is that Apple is working on an updated Remote app that will work well with the new ATV. That along with Bluetooth keyboard support.

No you didn't check for other threads, you didn't check for anything, you just made another whining thread like every other whining thread.

They HAVE to be updating the app, right? Entering text on the ATV4 is my main gripe about the new interface. Especially on initial setup when you have to type in your account info like 20x.

Bottom line is, we don't know. There are reports that there is no input to be on the ATV4 except the Siri remote. That means no Remote app and no BT keyboards. That's weird, especially after Tim stood up and said all he said about how wonderful controlling his ATV3 from his Watch was. WTF?!

If they were going to let these work you'd expect to have them work day one and not piss everyone off. But we are where we are and we got nothing for complex data entry.
