I recently upgraded to iTunes 11, only to find that the official Apple iOS remote app no longer truly mirrors my iTunes library on either my iPhone or iPad, both running iOS 6. Playlists sorted by song title A-Z in iTunes show up either completely randomly or sorted by artist on the Remote app. I have tried creating both smart and regular playlists with the same songs, but neither was successfully mirrored in the app. After some Googling, it looks like a few others have come across this issue, but I couldn't find a solution. Uninstalling the apps, disabling home sharing, and then reversing this process didn't remedy the issue.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem and found a solution?

I've got this problem too, I'm guessing it's something to do with the new 'up next' feature overriding the playlist order?

After some searching around it seems less common than I thought. Maybe very few people actually use playlists to organise their iTunes libraries? I would have thought this would cause people a lot more issues than it seems to have done.

Anyway, I would also be interested to know if anyone finds a solution or workaround for this issue.

there are so many improvements that can be made to iTunes. it blows my mind how little Apple does to truly improve and add on to iTunes. apple needs software and hardware competition...i wish someone would develop a music library app for OSX thats better than iTunes.

This is truly annoying!!!!

All the app needs is a "sort-by" row up the top and it would be perfect. Why the songs and playlists are not displayed in the correct order astounds me!
