apple remote app?

    am i just not doing something right?

    talking about the apple remote app, i have it installed on my iphone4, and have it on the same wifi as my macbook.

    i open the app, it gives a passcode, i look in itunes ..click on the iphone in itunes...nothing. help! thx

    Have to be on the same WiFi network as your macs are. The remote app does not work over 3G.

    Once you've added a particular mac to your remote app, you go back to that specific Mac in question. In iTunes, you should see your iPhone appear, click on it and it will ask you for a 4 digit pin number to enter in. Once you do this, the remote app and the Mac's iTunes will now be connected.

    In your iTunes preferences, go to devices, make sure you have 'Look for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad Remotes' checked. Then go to your System Preferences, Sharing, Firewall tab, and make sure to have 'iTunes Music Sharing' checked.

    Then just do the setup like normal with the password and all that.
