Apple remote compatible with cMP 5.1

Hello,
to use Apple Remote with IINA (the software I prefer) when watching films on cMP 5.1/SR7011/Samsung 1080p display via HDMI, I bought a USB remote smartgus to make it compatible.
I couldn't find it anywhere on MacRumors, so if it helps..

Nice to know that there are some more options for those old IR remotes. I had one running using a Microsoft IR receiver and https://www.iospirit.com/labs/candelair/ .

Thats kinda neat, would be cool to use my old remote with my older Macs. Will have to look into this further.

You can use it with all new Macs plug and play.🙂
