Apple Remote

Hi,

I'm thinking of purchasing a new iMac. I already have an Apple Remote that came with my iMac G5. Is this remote compatible with the new iMac? I'm not sure if I should buy a new one or not.

Yes. they just use the IR Sensor, not need for anew one unless you like/want the aluminum remote.

I don't need one for the iMac I'm buying next month because I got one with my universal iPhone/iTouch dock.
