Is there away to actually navigate around the ipod touch with the apple remote?? i have the dock etc

but it just wont work, if this cant be done any alternative ways to do this would be helpful

thanks

No unfortunately you can only pause and play music with the remote with the ipod in the dock. their is no way to navigate menus.

Ok i have had a new idea, everyone knows you can use the ipod touch to control the mac but can you use the mac to control the ipod??

Ah I have been searching for a way to do this. It strikes me that it must be possible but I can't find an answer anywhere.

it really annoys me i hardly see the point in the remote if i have to get up to navigate through the menus etc

It is a shame that it does not work, however if you want to control the music on your speakers from afar, you might be interested in the iSkin Cerulean TX + RX. It basically turns your iPod into the remote for your speakers.
