I guess, UNLOCKED model should have a tray,
Because it is for the frequent traveler, if not, they are just stupid, that is all.

It’s not really a good solution, AT&T and Verizon are really picky about supporting non-us iPhones.Isn't the solution to this problem to buy a non-US model that has the SIM tray? I hope that is a purchase option for folks who need a sim tray.
Carrier took back control, now they can charge for each esim swap you make 👎.
I hope so. Samsung tried talking to the top carriers over here for adopting eSIM with their foldable launch, but it fell on deaf ears. Maybe Apple has better luck.If you're a cell provider, I think this is pretty good motivation to adopt e-sim..
All iPhone models can accommodate multiple eSIMsIs there still possibility for dual eSIM?
Prepaid eSim (T-Mobile for instance). Apple's decision will force all US carriers to adopt eSim only service.how will people who need to use prepaid SIM like Tracfone use iPhone 14? Or people who use Google Fi?
They said you can store multiple esims, didn’t say how many can be online at the same time thoughAll iPhone models can accommodate multiple eSIMs
I have prepaid Mint Mobile and they support eSIM. Most prepaid support eSIMSucks to be in the U.S. RIP privacy. Can no longer use pre-paid SIMs.
I'll continue buying the dual SIM tray version in Hong Kong.
Unlike you and me, they are not living in the commoner's world.Absolutely ridiculous. What if an American wants to travel to Indonesia and get a local sim?!
What if an Apple exec has to travel and gets a 1 week local travel sim for data
How is this practical, when you have to travel, and the world has not converted yet?! Smh
Unfortunately Samsung will most likely follow. I really hope they don't.I was about to order iPhone 14 pro max, new Watch and Airpods Pro. Now without a physical slot I do not order any of them. I travel a lot.
May be you have different opinion, but for me Apple is over. i switch to Galaxy S23 , hope they in Samsung have brain not to follow Apple.
Mint, spectrum, cricket all support eSIM.Absolute dick move by apple, especially if you are on a prepaid network. Visible is pretty much the only prepaid that supports e-sim and it's a giant cluster. My cousins use it and its a giant headache trying to swap phones or troubleshoot stuff.

Same question here (for my wife and I). I'm hoping I can just do it over the phone or something, I don't want to have to go into the store for that.It will be interesting to see how T-Mobile US will transfer the physical SIM information on my iPhone 12 to an iPhone 14/14 Pro model. Will I have to do it at a T-Mobile store or at an Apple Store?
You buy another phone, apparently. They basically just made US-purchased iPhones useless for global travelers. How does this work when you want to use a local SIM internationally?

Or just ditch iPhone and go Android only lmaoIf you're a cell provider, I think this is pretty good motivation to adopt e-sim..
Your phone will have multiple eSIMS. Just get a prepaid eSIM when you travel.Unlike you and me, they are not living in the commoner's world.
This is totally ridiculous.
I am not paying $10 a day to AT&T when that same amount of money basically covers a whole week of unlimited call and data by popping in a local SIM card.
