I know that it's been 12:01 the last few rounds as I've made purchases then, but even now she won't confirm that the sales site will go live shortly after midnight PDT.

I wouldn't put much into that. I think they're just avoiding using any hard dates in case of any difficulties. I believe they'll go live right around that time as they always have before.

They're probably told to say that to cover their butts. :)

Dumb. Considering Verizon & AT&T are using the same iPhone 6 picture advertising 12:01am PST.

The rep didn't say it was a rumor, you did. Then she agreed with you.

It will start at 12 am. Count in it.

Her precise answer to my statement about it being a rumor was "YES IT IS..."

I'm sorry that clarity was lost on you.

You want an apple employee to confirm something that Apple themselves have not confirmed?

Well, reps aren't allowed to confirm anything unless the company as a whole have specifically confirmed it in writing. So no matter what you said, they'd deny, deny, deny.

the rep answered your answer correctly. Did apple confirm the timing anywhere? All i see from them is sept 12. So in fact it is a rumour, regardless of what history might suggest.

I'm sorry that clarity was lost on you.
